Our Golden Retriever, Ben, spent 10 days at Dog Town Jacksonville while we visited family over Christmas. He was happy and healthy when we picked him up... The on site veterinarian animal hospital really eased our mind! Ben is a swimmer, and we were able to see photos of him in the indoor pool, (another reason we chose Dog Town), while we were away.

After a few bad experiences at Pet Paradise Resort, we decided to try out the new DogTown USA on San Jose Blvd during the Thanksgiving vacation. We were very impressed with the facility and the staff. Being staffed 24hrs a day was very important to us. Our dogs are elderly and require a lot of attention. They spent a total of 5 nights and were bathed before we picked up. They seemed very happy and so are we. Looks like we have found our new boarding solution.

We toured 3 different places looking for someone to care for our 3 babies, we picked Dog Town. This was there first and last visit when we took a 3 day weekend trip we dropped them off on a Friday morning all 3 had baths the night before and blankets were washed so everything was fresh and clean. Got back that Sunday picked them up after lunch got in the car was over taken by a smell, I smelled my pug and his feet smelled of nothing but complete urine in fact all 3 did, there paws felt damp as well got them home straight to the tub and it was a disgusting brown dirt coming off them. I am so very upset and disappointed that I trusted someone to care for our dogs and I feel that for 3 days they lived in filth we had a 6 day reservation for November which I have called and cancelled with a week trip still in the plans, I do know that they will not be returning here, take your tour and make your decisions as you please, I just know the condition I left my babies in was not the same condition I picked them up, It truly upsets me to know that my dogs had to live like that.

Having been in the Luxury Pet Boarding business the past 14 years and been involved with building an opening over a dozen Pet Resorts, the best advice I can give you is as follows. Plan a surprise visit to any facility you plan on leaving your loved ones. Speak to the employees, smell the facility, check the level of cleanliness, do the employees look happy? It is extremely important you feel comfortable with whom you are about to entrust the care of your pets. DogTown USA Mandarin prides itself on being staffed 24/7. Additionally all DogTown USA locations are protected by Fire Sprinkler Systems. Please stop by for a visit during normal lobby hours 7am-7pm.

This is an absolutely amazing place for pets. Our two golden retrievers loved their stay at Dogtown. The facility is beautiful and the staff are very caring people. We bought a few toys and treats at the store inside as well. Looking forward to having our dogs stay here again soon
