Great clinic, staff friendly. Recommend for sure.

Being new to Jacksonville, I brought my dying (allergic reaction to antibiotics) cat to this hospital after Googling "Animal Hospitals." The Vet Techs were kind and thoughtful. We were seen right away. However, the DVM wanted to perform a series of tests to find the cause of the cat's stress. Despite the obvious cause of an allergic reaction, the DVM pushed blood work, overnight stay, etc. Our estimate ended up being $875-$2,200 for possible services. The estimate consisted primarily of unnecessary tests meant for diagnosis, and did not include treatment. I felt as though the DVM was trying to take advantage of my vulnerable situation. I requested that only a steroid, some fluids, and a different antibiotic (to combat a possible infection) be given. Just these items amounted to $200 bill. I will not return to this clinic, and have since found referrals to other well-known clinics through friends.
