I brought my dog in for labored breathing. She was 12 yrs old and they put my in a room and the receptionist was so kind to offer to take her back to get oxygen to help her breathing. Within 5 mins the Vets assistance came in, Karen, and explained to me that what my girl had was very severe and discussed my options. She was very kind, comforting, and patiently helped me. The outcome was bittersweet, however done in such a caring matter from beginning to end. I only can rate my experience as excellent. Thank you for making such a difficult situation as comfortable as possible.

My mother had taking her 3 year old pregnant Yorkie to this animal hospital, She had been in labor for three hours and no babies. My mother called the vet after she was getting worried. The hospital told her it would be best to come in for a check. We were told about the cost of the office visit and exam over the phone, after we arrived. We were greeted by an awesome young lady (receptionist)that took us strait back to a room . and treated us very professionally. The next lady came and took mothers dog and said she was taking her back to be checked. Another lady(supervisor) came in and gave us papers to fill out and went over a couple of things as she was leaving the room, she said to hand the papers to the receptionist when finished, After sitting in the room for about ten minutes, the supervisor returned and asked if she could take x-rays, She explained it would be needing them anyway to help determine if she would need surgery or not and to see if the puppies are breached, but seeing how there were three people ahead of us that's one step out of the way. The x-rays would cost over 100$ once again we were told.. Mother agreed. While I finished up the papers, it asked for payment method . I read them off to her and she realized they don't accept checks, She went to front and told them, all she brought was checks and that if she needed to go home and get cash she will and asked if my father could give the m the card info over the phone, considering we live an hour away. Before we got an answer we were seen by the Dr. she asked questions and told us what she seen in the x-rays, even allowed us took look at them. We were surprised to see, only one big puppy and breached. Now we know she needs a c-section . It was estimated at 1200$. Then Mother was told she couldn't use checks ,and dad couldn't pay over the phone that they had to have half down before they would even start the surgery. Mother was so upset that they were not starting the surgery right away.Their was nothing she could do but go home and get money. They said if she left they wouldn't do anything for her until she got back, that .That would total 8 hours of hard labor. mother cried for her and asked for her back. She wanted to go somewhere were they would get the puppies out now. Mother was threatened of the only way they will give her back is if mother sign a no treatment waiver, Mother refused to sign, and stated she was not refusing treatment that the vet was refusing treatment until money was in hand. Then threaten to call animal control but instead called the cops. The bottom line we had to go home get money and when we returned the puppy was dead and no c-section. we were told she had it right before surgery. The cost to mother !000$. for hard time dead puppy and very lucky mamma, that survived with out their help..

First off, I am completely disgusted of how this emergency veterinarian clinic tries to take advantage of people. I took one of our cats to this vet because my wife called me telling me that one of our cats was vomiting and laying lifeless on the floor. This was the only veterinary open at 6pm on New Year's Eve. After I arrived I was put in a room and then told just for the visit it would be $161 for just a visit and checkup. That is a 95 dollar office visit and 66 dollar critical care check up. After about a hour they came in and said they would have to do X-Ray's and a blood test to find out what was wrong with our cat. Now my new bill was 500 dollars! I would have refused the services if it wasn't for the fact this is our son's cat that he got for a birthday present a year ago. After another hour went past I was finally showed the X-Ray's and they said he had pancreatitis. They said that they would have to keep him overnight and put him on an I.V. and give him some pain meds to help fight the infection, which would have cost 1500 dollars! I declined all the services and paid for what they had already done which cost me 400 dollars. They gave me a list of veterinarians in the area that I could take my cat to in the morning so they could reevaluate. They did tell me though that since I declined the service that my cat could possibly die overnight without treatment. I decided to drive four hours to our last veterinarian in Rincon, GA and had them reevaluate his X-Ray's and blood work. Their reevaluation was that he had a blockage in his small intestine and showed he was constipated. They gave him some stool softener to help loosen things up. Three days later our son's cat is back up and running and playing with the other cats as if nothing had happened. I will never go to this place again and if you truly love your pets I would do research to find a reputable veterinarian in the area.

Well I am over 3 hours on my visit. I brought my kitten in because it had a cut on its leg and it was dragging it. We thought it maybe broken and looked bad. When we got here the situation was explained and that it just happened and the cat had just gone outside 4 hours before we got to the vet. We thought maybe it was a snare or a trap somehow that it got caught on. Well after 2 hours of our kitten being in the back and we are waiting the whole time. They came in and told us that they were fixing to look at trying to stitch it back up and xray its foot to see if it is broken. We finally got a look at the cost of the bill which was going to be 960 for an xray and some bandaging on the kitten. This was no splint or anything more. We declined the service only for my mom to later tell me she heard one of the ladies working there make a statement that she thinks we were lying about what happened when we first explained it. This place is very unprofessional I dont have to lie to someone on the 4th of july to pay double the price to make sure my cat is okay if I could wait till the next day and take him to my vet that knows what they are doing. We have been here going on 3 hours and officially had the worst service I have ever had and have not seen what the bill is still going to be for nothing done. We then paid 163 dollars forcthem not to even rebandage the foot like when we brought the kitten in. If you want to be mistreated and not believed go here if not find another emergency vet because they failed at their job. We would of paid the money if they didn't have us wait 2 hours before they came in to say what they would do or for them to accuse us of lying behind our back.

My mother recently brought her cat to be checked for kidney failure due to 18 years of age and not eating. There was no other patients in the clinic and she was lead to a room by the receptionist. She waited there for an hour with no one checking on her or informing her of the reason for this wait. After an hour they did check for kidney function. An HOUR later the results were provided and it was determined by my mother to have the cat put down. She asked that a tranquilizer via a shot in the muscle be administered before being given the euthanizing drug, but vet would only allow a catheter to be installed in the leg. This is done out of the presence of the owner. A half hour later the cat is returned with bandaged leg and my mother is told the attempt was unsuccessful. Then the cat is given a tranquilizing shot in the hip muscle as originally requested by owner. The cat becomes very agitated and never goes to sleep even 24 hours later! My mother then leaves with her old cat. She will now have to take her cat on Monday to a local vet. This story shows the extreme level of incompetence, lack of staffing and professional ability of this clinic. Please never take your old cat there especially during the day shift.
