Dr. Perez is great with our 10 year old Border Collie (she has been a patient for 8 yrs). The staff is always attentive and we continue to receive thoughtful, expedient, gentle care. Never have we had any health issues that weren't quickly and expertly diagnosed. Thanks to everyone at Lake Howell Animal Clinic!

Have been going there because my parents board their animals there. We were there for a year, the only reason is because our animals never had any issues. The second our cat has an issue we are given the run around. We were told her bladder was inflamed, when I questioned why it was they said sometimes that just happens. *I don't think so, cause and effect people*. They took a urinalysis and then gave her a shot. For a month she was ok, then we returned when the symptoms came back, we were given another set of instructions, and actual diagnosis, and another shot. After a week passed the symptoms were not getting better we called on a Saturday, never heard back, called again Monday, never heard back, called Tuesday. Heard back, not from the vet but a vet tech. You would think the vet would actually call when someone is that persistent right? We were told that what we were doing now wouldn't fix the problem, which we were not told at the last visit, and that now the cat needed x rays and more pills. ARE YOU KIDDING? Essentially we got the run around for a month with no improvement of our animal. I wonder how they would like it if someone treated their animal like this and then couldn't even be bothered to answer their questions regarding their treatment and timeline for recovery. I was so fed up I had them fax over all of my animals records and will be changing vets. God forbid something else goes majorly wrong with our dog or other cat, we can't afford several hundred dollars every month or so to find out NOTHING. The office staff are loving and friendly. They adored our animals and always chatted with us, I will miss them and if they were the vets there probably wouldn't be an issue. I appreciate their hard work and think they vet techs and other staff were incredible. The treatment of our pets and of us by the vets, not impressed. This clinic specializes in exotics, but it seems they can't take care of the common pets. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone.

Dr. Diaz is the best! I have 2 baby cockatiels that I hand feed and one got very sick, unfortunately, when I called the office Dr. Diaz was not in so I had to take her to another vet. My baby bird died 4 days later :(. I took the other bird to Dr. Diaz to make sure she was okay; he is very knowledgeable, helped me understand how feeding process works and what I needed to do to avoid any fatal situation. He really is the best and you can tell that he loves what he do and cares about these little pets. Highly recommended!

One of our birds was taken in for concern as he had not eaten in 2 days. We usually take all our birds to Backos Bird Clinic in Deerfield but we felt that Max needed attention quicker than we could get to Deerfield. Dr Diaz came in looked at Max and gave us a quote of $400 for xrays and blood tests at that point an examination had not been done. We agreed to the cost and as we went to give Max to the Dr he fell to the floor. They then picked him up with a towel and proceeded to take blood from his juggler area as Max struggled in the arms of Dr and staff, Max gurgled and then passed away. Although we are not certain of the reason for Max's passing the latter part of the situation as I walked out with my dear Max was why I am beyong upset! There was no examination, no test performed and as Im walking out the office a staff follows me into the parking lot to ask why were refusing to pay the bill! Im not even sure what the charges could've been other than a charge to tell us what the charges were going to be! I have never preferred this Dr ( as I have heard other stories) and I believe because a lot of vets don't specialize in birds he can get away with over charging and treating people this way. Do not use him if compassion is important to you, drive further and go with your heart.

Dr Diaz is great. He spent a lot of time with my pet snake and explained things very well. Everyone in office was very pleasant
