Don't even think about bringing your pet here! I have given this clinic far too many opportunities to win my trust and have been disappointed each time. First of all, they never take walk ins. I have had 2 emergencies with my pet and been turned away from this Banfield both times. I have dropped my pet off on other occasions for scheduled procedures, and found on my return home that they have not performed some of the procedures I dropped off for - with no explanation. No bad experience with the actual vets (the times I have been able to see them), but the staff and administration are as incompetent and unhelpful as they come.

I have been taking my dog here since he was a puppy . He is now 2 years and 3 months old and I have been so pleased and happy with the service received . I have him on the wellness plan and never have to pay for a consultation and if I ever need to call they always answer questions . I leave my dog there when I go to work at 7am and pick him up by 7pm . I can only say positive things about this place ! In regards to the waiting time it can be slightly long even with an appointment but even when you make a doctors appointment for yourself in Miami you have to wait , so they do offer that you can leave your dog there and call you when he is next in line . For a place like Miami where it is hard to find people who care about animals the front staff and vets definitely care about your pets .

First off, I reported the review that had nothing productive to say. The other review about boarding, well they don't board here, so not sure if that's an old review and they stopped boarding or review is incorrect. Second: I travel a lot and have moved a lot for my job; and have been to several Banfields all over the Southeast. Banfield as a whole cannot be beat. Some of the best vets I have ever seen, and you can't beat the wellness plans! I have been super impressed by those others and will not go anywhere other than Banfield now. However, this location needs a LOT of improvements. Positives first: The front desk staff are AWESOME and they should run the place really! Also, tech Libby went way out of her way for me on a couple things and seems like she is genuinely interested and cares so much about animals! Now for the negatives: I was there for 2 hours the first time and seemed like they were done with me after I was told the vet would be back in. They acted surprised when I asked if the vet was coming back, as if I were done and was supposed to leave the vet room and check out on my own. The vet did not examine my pets in front of me, or discuss anything about my pets if they did examine. I was told by the tech they were examined in the BACK when my pets were brought to the back for blood or urine samples. Upon asking them to examine the teeth and recommend when to get them cleaned, they brought the vet back in and acted like this was a new thing...? I had to bring my pets back the next day for something I changed my mind about and I dropped them off. I had a deadline for something that evening after I picked them up and was shocked to find out they had confused which one of my pets was to get a urine sample, (we only found this out when they told me pet#1 results and I said...you mean pet #2?) which requires sticking a needle into their bladder. Completely unnecessary and painful for the one that didn't need it and I had to wait over an hour to get it done and almost missed my deadline. (they also told me they had to stab my pet several times trying for urine--not sure if this is normal practice but I didn't like what I heard). I was then called a week later to "remind" me of the dental cleaning scheduled--this was NEVER discussed with me. I'm glad they at least call to confirm because they charge you for no shows for dental and I NEVER scheduled it. In fact they told me to WAIT until my pet tested normal for some things before scheduling it. Lastly, I was told one of the blood sample tests would be back in 10 days or so and they would call me. I did not receive a call and called today and the results were back...but I got no phone call. I got the impression the female vet who saw my pets was in a huge hurry the two times I saw her for a couple of minutes out of the hours I was there. She was nice enough, but didn't feel like they cared individually about me or my pets, in contrast to all the other great Banfields I've been to. Not a huge deal, but they also spoke Spanish to me right off the bat which I thought was a little odd to assume. Maybe I was treated the way I was because I don't speak Spanish??? Bottom line, there are 2-3 more Banfields very close to this one, drive the extra few miles for the others...

The guy Rick is a troll posting anti-banfield on almost every location in Miami. Are they expensive? kinda but so is every single Vet out there. Go to a 24/7 and get charged 100+ for a checkup/shots or 300+ for an emergency. Atleast they care, and to say their only out for money is an idiotic statement at best. 1. They are a BUSINESS in a capitalistic free market. 2. They have government and PETSMART regulations that they must adhere to so if you have a problem then you should call the center for animal control or MDAS.

TERRIBLE!! Do not go to any Banfields, and ESPECIALLY THIS ONE!! Theres one fat girl working there that could not be more rude and less helpful. Shes big ugly and got curly brown hair. WATCH OUT FOR HER! They are only after the money and they even got my pets an infection that they either gave him or that they gave him by having terrible sanitary conditions. If you value your money and your pets health STAY AWAY FROM BANFIELD!!! Especially this store!
