I took my dog into the clinic yesterday for his Rabies shot and I have to say it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with vet. Dr. Minnick was rude and very condescending towards me. His implications that I didnt take good care of my dog or was ignorant of FL state regs because I come from another state was insulting. My husband and I will not be taking any of our pets to this clinic in the future. Shame on you Dr. Minnick.

I can only speak about my own experience. I love dogs. More specifically, I love Beagles. I have had ONLY Beagle since I was 7. I have never been w/o a Beagle for the last 45 years. I once owned 15 acres o/s Manhattan. I had alot of land, horses, and Beagles. 15 Beagles to be accurate. But since then tough times have befallen me. The last of the clan I raised was Munchie McGhee. Call me silly, call me delirious, she was my life. Munchie started coughing incessantly a month ago and I was worried. I made an appt with an animal hospital but saw they had poor reviews and I reneged that appt in favor of Toledo Blade Animal Hospital because they received stellar reviews. Here is the skinny: Dr. Kris Minnich is condescending; he cares less about your dog than he does his Izod shit. OK, perhaps harsh on my part, but when I scoured the Internet looking for anything to save my Munchie and presented to him what I discovered, he acted like a C- expert. He chided me; he demarcated my ToDo List with absolute disdain. Again, I can only speak for my own experience. I have had vets who love animals more than money, this man is not the case. I wish him no malice. I only caution you: If your pet's darkest hour is in front of you, this is not the man. Again, I speak form my own experience.

Our Jack Russell Terrier, Curley, was attacked by coyotes and suffered many bites and deep lacerations. The attack happened on a Sunday morning and Toledo Blade Animal Clinic was closed. We hoped to wait until Monday morning and take him to Doctor Minnich, but Curley was in shock and fading fast. We found a clinic that would treat Curley immediately and took him there for emergency care. The Vet chose the wrong procedure by sewing the wounds shut and, as a result, Curley acquired severe infections. By Wednesday, Curley was in really bad shape, so we took him to Dr. Minnich. In addition to saving Curley’s life, Dr. Minnich took it upon himself to contact the Emergency Veterinary Clinic that implemented the improper procedure on Curley and explained the situation. The Clinic agreed to pay Dr. Minnich’s bill for saving Curley. This isn’t the first we have heard of Dr. Minnich’s affinity for preserving animal life. We understand that he also performed an emergency surgery on a pet in the wee hours of the night and trained the pet parent as a surgical assistant as there was no one else available in the middle of the night. The animal survived. We cannot thank Dr. Minnich enough for caring enough to go the extra mile for our pets and highly recommend him as a veterinarian.

Can't say enough about Dr Minnich and his staff! They have been my vet since my German Shepard Dog, Amadeus was 6 months old and he will be 5 y/o this October. I give everybody there 2 thumbs up! They are truly animal lovers there.

The staff at Toledo Blade Animal Clinic is caring, friendly, and kind! Dr. Minnich was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and clearly cared for my cat's well-being. He accurately diagnosed her immediately (she has diabetes) and then helped get her stabilized and healthy again. I am extremely grateful to everyone at this clinic!
