Brought my cat in to be spayed. I was not told a feline leukemia test needed to be done beforehand. The next day, my cat was on death's door. It was confirmed she had leukemia. The surgery almost killed her. Dr. Buck told me just to put her down! I took her to Florida Wild, where they gave me antibiotics, special food, and instructions on how to get her well. With a week of TLC she was fine. Although she has leukemia, she is flourishing! You would never know she was even sick. This cat that I was just supposed to "put down" sleeps beside my pillow every night and purrs like crazy.
