I LOVE Dr. Scott and Dr. Mike is really really great too! I have many animals and many of them have come through this clinic. I have NEVER in my entire life in two different states ever received such exceptional genuine CARE for my animals. My top favorite thing about this place is the quality of care that my animals receive, my second favorite thing is the fact that they have NEVER tried to nickel and dime me or rob me blind in fact they have Always done just the opposite they will always try to cut cost for me where ever they can and have reallyyyy worked with us on multiple occasions in order to allow us to provide our pets with the best care they could receive. I simply can not stress enough how much I LOVE this place and I am very grateful to have found them.
Kudos to Madison & Dr. Mike, We thought that our 8 year old American Bulldog Ariel was just moping on the bed all week as she normally does when I go out of town, so my wife and daughter didn't think anything of it. when I came back in town Friday she stood up to greet me and she could hardly stand, we thought she may have injured her leg. Saturday we waited to see if it would play out by itself, her condition worsened severely come Sunday morning. Could barely walk & would whimper in pain. Having just moved here from Pensacola 2 weeks ago we hadn't decided on a vet yet. I came across Avalon & noticed they were opened Sunday from 10-2 as well as did house calls. I called and spoke with Madison and she told me she would call me back if a vet was available. She informs me that they are booked until 2 but the Doc would come over after they closed. Once Madison and Dr. Mike arrived she was a little tender around the left shoulder. Mike suggest we have her x-rayed at the shop. I asked okay when is convenient ? He says Right Now!! She's in pain man. Keep in mind they closed 45 minutes ago. Didn't matter to him. Once at the shop x-ray shows nothing major with the shoulder, so he does a sonogram, Our fault for not having her spayed at this age, resulting in a severely infected uterus. $-5 large puss balls. He instantly says this dog needs surgery or this is real likely to burst SOON, after I accepted this, I am thinking okay they closed awhile ago, probably bring her back in the morning. So I ask "when do we do this"? Right now!! he states without hesitation. They immediately prepped her for surgery and went into action. We picked her up at 6:30 that evening. Might I add Madison just usually answers the phone I believe, and stayed right there assisting, and comforting our Ariel the whole way thru. We know who our vet will be. Mike & Madison we can not thank you enough for your dedication to caring for our pet, as well as all the others I am sure you do on a daily basis.
My Bichons have been very well taken care of by this Clinic since 2008. We have gone thru some unique things with Mary and they are very understanding when I call about my girl. Arwen doesn't want to be left out, so when she injured her knee yesterday, I knew they would see her today to check her Luxating patella.
I had a very nice experience. Very attentive. My vet was Dr. Ashley Still and she was very sweet. She suggested we walk my dog around parking lot because he was limping on and off. Didn't recommend xrays after brief examination. Will definitely take my pets there again. As a matter of fact, i need to make an emergency visit for my other dog. Glad to know i have a clinic right in my neighborhood.
My dog was obviously felling bad so I called the Avalon Vet Clinic to see if I needed to make an appointment. I was informed to bring her in then, no appointment neccessary. I took her in and found that she had a raging temperature that could have killed her. The vets both stayed well after closing doing all kinds of tests to try to figure out what was causing this high of a temp. They managed to bring her temp. down and we finally went home. My dog managed to make it through the night but the following day she was going down hill again. I took her back and both vets worked on her all day and were forced to do emergency surgery on her. They found cancer had blocked her bladder and were unable to do anything more for her. The vets and the receptionist were all very compassionate and did everything they could to help me and my dog through this rough time. They refused to charge me for the emergency surgery or the euthanization. This clinic worked on my dog all day and did everything they could for my dog and charged me nothing. This clinic has the most passionate and compassionate people working for them and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
