DR. SHAW is GREAT! If you go to Banfield ask for him. He is the best vet there. He really cares about you and your pet. Also doesn't seem to just try to suck out every penny like many other vets.
Wouldn't suggest this place. We had one pleasant experience and the second was a terror. I called around 2:30 because my pup had a soar on her neck, they told me no appointments were open but they could take me as a walk up no problem. So, I come in at 2:55 waiting to be seen. I was told only one person was ahead of me. After 30 minutes of waiting I just go up to ask about wait time to see how much longer. I was then informed I had two people in front of me and I had another 30 min to 1 hour wait. Then miraculously I was told 10 minutes later that they have had an emergency come in and the wait would be even longer. I advised I needed to be seen since we leave out of town the next day, but then she came back and said there is no way that our dog could be seen. I asked to speak to a manager, and conveniently there was no manager there. I asked to speak to a vet, conveniently none were available. I ended up speaking to the PetsMart store manager who was really nice. I am not sure she could do anything, but it was nice to be heard by someone. The point is the service is horrible at Banfield. Very unprofessional. Maybe it was the attendant that was "taking care" of us. She was hispanic looking with green eyes, dark brown curly hair and slight cat-eye glasses. I love this store, but not the hospital. This put us in a terrible spot before leaving out of town and wasted our time. They really need to keep with their word and see those who come in before the time they allotted, not just kick us out because an "emergency came in" when there wasn't even any additional people there.
Called me twice to set my first appointment for my 2 pets which I like but when I called back, first was put on hold and got cut off so I called back again, put on hold, was able to talk to a representative and got cut off again. Was expecting to be called back - didn't happen so I called them several times and this time no one is picking up the phone. I hope that this is just a phone connection problem and not lousy service.
Today I called about my wifes poodle for a urinary tract obstruction. My wife had a horrible day at a different animal hospital. I spoke with a very friendly young lady Fernanda if I heard her correctly who was more than helpful and sympathetic for my situation. She then had a very nice lady named Andrea call me back at home almost as if she did a telecare right there on the phone with me. Andrea too was very helpful and more than kind with her instructions for home care until I get him to them. I will be at the door at 10 am tomorrow morning to have my wifes dog looked at. I have talked to some very rude people today from different clinics and animal hospitals until I called Banfield which renewed my hopes to think I have a chance to save Benji's life. I can honestly say that this is by far the best animal clinic I have ever had the pleasure of taking or discussing my animals healthcare with. Thanks Banfield waterford lakes Thank you Andrea and Fernanda ---Damon---
I brought my 7 yr old cat in to be treated. He was very lathargic and his eyes were rolling in the back of his head. first question they asked was when was his last rabies shot and we said he was due six months earlier, figuring he was an inside cat I never rushed to get it done. he got out of the house the nighnt before and was gone for a couple of hours. he came back acting this way so we went prepaired for the worst case senerio. They barely looked at him and said that they needed someone else to take a look at him and we need to leave him. wasnt happy but if they could fix him up we were like ok. called that night and was told he was just sleeping. the next morning I called on my way to work and was told he seems ok. I called around 3pm and must have not been spoken to to keep the truth from me. so i was told he was he was doing horrible and he was flipping and flopping anround non srop. telling me he is misserable. I already sing the papers to put him and pleeeeeese put him out of his misery. I was told NO!!!!! So my husband called and Told them that if they keep him alive 1 more minute he was bringing them to court for animal cruilty and he with be there in 15 min to pick uip the body!!!!!! through all of this ordeal not one appology for any of this. I would NEVER bring Nything to them again!!!!
