My wife took our puppy to Econ River Animal Hospital today and I was astounded to hear of their unprofessional conduct, rude demeanor, and general roughness with our new puppy. We have been to a few vets at this point and are looking for a good solid one to use permanently. I typically consult online reviews as a good indicator of places to try, therefore I felt we should post our experience as I feel the current reviews do not accurately reflect our visit. Feel free to take our review as is and make your own decision, however we will not be returning. -The receptionist was very short and rude in the waiting room. My wife stood for a while waiting for someone to greet or reach out to her until she finally had to ask where she could sign in. She was snapped at and told she was in the wrong line. -The vet assistant, I believe a student, clipped our dog's toenails. This was fine, and I know she had no intention to do so, but this caused them to bleed. -Our dog was constantly stuffed full of treats as a way to keep her occupied without asking about any dietary or allergy restrictions. These caused her to have stomach issues and gas later on. -The vet held our dog's nose and mouth shut very roughly while it struggled so she could listen to it's heart. That doesn't seem necessary. -My wife was constantly told by the primary vet, without provocation, which features of our new dog would disqualify her from being a show dog. This came across as very shallow and rude. We have no interest in showing our dog and got her purely for the family/companionship, so a slight under bite or 'bad pigmentation' is of no concern to us. However, it is hard not to take offense when your vet is harping on your dog's appearance. -The vet was incredibly rude to her staff in front of customers and bashed our previous vets for any information that was mentioned that came from them. Overall, we would just brush aside a few of these issue, however when they all add up it amounted to a rather surprising and irritating vet visit. Granted there were a few employees at the business that were helpful and very friendly, but overall I would not suggest this as a steady vet based on the experience we had.

Dr. Lipari is the best vet I've ever taken my cat to. I've gone to see her a few times when kitty was sick. Every time I go she wastes no time figuring out why kitty was sick, and even before that her well-trained staff can usually figured it out. She always does a good job and never tries to push products or extra expenses. It's obvious from the minute you first interact with one of the nurses or techs there they genuinely care about animals. Kitty always gets scared when I take her anywhere, but the staff does their best to calm her down. I never have to worry my cat isn't getting the absolute best care. Even after moving further away I still drive the extra distance just to take my cat to Dr. Lipari. I wish I could leave all businesses feeling this satisfied! Thank you again, Dr. Lipari and staff!

We had a difficult situation and some tough choices. Up until the very end they did everything in their power to make the experience as comfortable as possible. The staff was conscious of our feelings and were great, they even followed up with a very touching card signed by the entire staff. They will continue to care for all of our pets as long as we are in the area.

We brought our dog Samantha Jane in after a terrible accident, wherein she had compressed her spinal cord and had stopped breathing. Though we did CPR, we were very fortunate to find Dr. Lipari open on that fateful Saturday morning. When I walked in with basically my deceased best friend, she immediately set to work reviving Sammie. With the help of her decidated staff, they were able to save my dog, and although there was a long road to recovery, without Dr. Lipari all would have been lost. She was no less than a God-send that morning, and we have been loyal customers ever since. Though Sammie finally passed away in 2004, they have taken great care of our Ginger Marie, and we frequently use their great boarding service too! I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone! Thanks again Econ River Animal Hospital!

Dr. Lipari and her staff seem to be a very caring and dedicated group. We recently lost our dog to cancer, and even though it was three years from diagnosis until his death, Dr. Lipari was always caring for him, and did her best to prepare us for the tough decision she knew we may have to make. She will continue to take care of my other dog's veterinary needs.
