This animal hospital claims to care about pets and people too. A big lie! Our 2 puppies, who are both microchipped, were lost and the person who found them took them to this facility and was told that our puppies do not have microchips. We asked the lady at the reception desk about this and she said that they do not have a microchip scanner and she said that she refers people to Halifax Humane Society, more than 5 miles away, to get animals scanned for microchips. Yet, they implant microchips. I checked up on the implanting procedure with ResQ and the first thing that is supposed to be done when implanting a microchip is using a scanner to make sure that the animal doesn't already have a microchip. How can they implant microchips, then, if they can't scan for them? Stay away from this place as they are not up to date on the technology needed to run a modern vet's office and don't really care about reuniting lost pets with their families.
