Best vet ever, most kind man. Does not over treat. I have 8 cats and he is the best. Communicates honestly and charges honestly. Great compassion. Does not practice for the money but from the heart.

Dr. Barr saved my dog's life. He loves every animal I have brought him and I always get to see the same vet (not true else where). They love him and that counts a lot. His prices are much better than elsewhere, but that is not the point. He is professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. He maintains convenient hours and an emergency call back, which I have not seen with others. I have read the reviews here and beg to differ with the some folks. So what if he holds checks (He has held mine) ? Clearly he is not greedy as indicated by doing this contrary to what was indicated by one person here. Maybe that is his way of helping those who don't have that and cannot really pay right away - by giving them time to stash the money into the account. Pay by cash or card and there is no problem. It also seems two folks are either not following the treatment plan or are trying to shave the last penny of the bill. Get real, folks, this guy is a good old fashioned Vet who is in it to help animals, but he cannot take responsibility for your desire to do a home remedy or failure to follow the treatment plan.

Dr. Barr is the most knowledgeable and empathetic veterinarian I've ever taken my animals to. He has saved the life of my eldest dog several times and Buddy is still alive today because of Dr. Barr. Our cats health and personality changed (to the better we don't call her Monster Kitty anymore) after the Barr treated her. I've sent numerous friends to him, and to this day they thank me. In this house we call Dr. Gerrie Barr "the hardest workin' man in the animal kingdom". We love this vet, we love his staff. The parking lot is odd shaped and usually full. I highly recommend Vets Pets.

Over the past year and a half they have helped us immensely with a very old, but very loveable chihuahua I found on the side of the road. Dr. Barr was straight forward, helpful and very informative about the condition she was in when we first got her. He quoted us a price on getting her checked out, shots, etc and when we returned it was around HALF we were originally quoted. We have continued to get her fixed, have kidney stones removed, teeth cleanings and many check up visits- each one costing a very reasonable amount and well worth it! They have helped us nurse a rescue back to full health and every day we get to spend another day with her- what's any better than that?

I took my dog, a small shih-tsu to doc Barr for a urinary track infection. She received a shot and prescript for Baytril and did fine for a week or so. After a month or so, she was back in the same sad shape....and I paid nearly $300.00.! My problem is that I wanted to try the Baytril prescription, but without another visit, at $50.00 plus! I cannot treat my suffering freind? Dr. Barr only cares about his bottom line....not my best friend who is sufferring! They suck and my best friend is looking for imported drugs!
