Sadly, I can't fully recommend Boyette AH. We have visited this practice for nearly 20 years (back when it was Dr. Bob's and in the Winn Dixie strip mall!) but the service has not been great, in my opinion. After I moved back to Tampa in 2012, I immediately took my dog back to the "family vet" once he started scratching his ears. They prescribed ear drops, which cleared it up temporarily. A month later it was back, so I took my dog back. Same drops. Two months after that I moved to Lutz and took my dog to a different vet. It was a staph infection in his ears! After a month of steroids and antibiotics, he was finally infection free and comfortable! Now we are experiencing the same thing this summer. My dog stays with my dad (my dad's #1 companion) and Boyette AH is local. Recently his paw started turning rust colored and he was biting, heavily at it. My dad took our dog in and they bandaged it, and sent him home with a powder. They re-bandaged it every 3 days for 2 weeks. It cleared up. A month later, it was back! I took my dog to the new AH, the one that correctly diagnosed his ears, and it was a fungal infection in his feet! Twice Boyette has caused my dog additional pain/suffering. I don't believe this was due to negligence, so much as being cautious as to the costs of the the lab tests to verify the bacteria/fungus are pricey and they were trying to same us some money. However, I have told them more than once my dog is insured, so whatever he needs the cost is unimportant. In the future, I will unfortunately be hiking my puppers from my dad's house to the new vet nearly an hour away to get the right diagnosis, the first time.

We just recently moved to Riverview from Washington State, and our 2 year old Labrador puppy hurt himself. We called in the morning and they had us in the very same day. The staff was extremely nice, caring, and extremely attentive. Our vet Dr. Rochelle Benton was simply amazing! She took her time with our big boy and gave him a thorough examination and identified his issue immediately. She recommend ex-ray's and laid out the costs that were ahead of us before hand so there were no misunderstandings. Once confirming his injury she then gave us the name of a wonderful Orthopedic Surgeon and offered to send up a referral so we can get the surgery we need for our boy. We definitely felt at home in this new clinic for us, and they treated our big boy with love and respect.

We've been bring our 2 dogs there for grooming for a year. Awesome! This week, one of them got a small cut on his ear. They send him to the front for the vet to check, gave him daily pills to make sure no infection, and waved the bills. They even kept calling us for status until I returned call. Accidents happen to 12 lbs wiggle worms. And this is amazing care and couldn't ask for anything better! Will recommend to everyone I know and will share their amazing service!

We brought our perfectly healthy do to the Boyette Animal Kennel for Labor Day Weekend. When we returned home there was a message on our home phone stating that our dog had been hurt and required a veterinarian to examine her. The vet said our dog had a bruised eye and required medication. She also stated that she left a message on both our cell phones as well as our emergency contact, this was not the case. When we returned on Tuesday to pick up our dog we were given a bill for $125.00 in addition to the kennel fees. We will not be brining our dog back to the Boyette Animal Kennel in the future. If you insist on bringing your pet here be forewarned that they not only won't take any responsibility for what happens to him or her while in their care, but also charge you the medical expenses that result.

Adopted a 1 year old cat and had her spayed and delcawed. Everything was handled perfectly and my cat is happy and healthy!
