My cat was seriously ill this morning. The doctor saw her quickly and diagnosed her problem after a thorough exam and series of tests. As a physician for human patients myself, I was impressed and gratified by the vet's skill and the staff's kindness and compassion. I highly recommend the Sarasota Veterinary Emergency Hospital.

When our dog passed away at Christmas we were traveling with her and had to go to an emergency vet (Sarasota Veterinary Emergency Hospital). Once we got home a couple weeks passed and we received a hand written letter by the vet that had attempted to save our sweet dog's life. It was an elegantly written letter, but the gist of it was that it was very obvious to her how much we loved our dog and that she was so sorry for our loss. She went on to say that she believed our little dog was in a better place now. We were very touched by getting such a thoughtful letter. It has stuck with me and I will always remember that she took the time to do that. It just goes to show that it is through acts of kindness no matter how small that we can touch people's lives in positive ways. The staff was great, they did everything they could, but it was our dog's time to go and we could not have asked for better treatment or support. During one of the hardest times they made it so much better.

The staff at Sarasota Emergency Veterinary Clinic is wonderful. I can't recommend them highly enough. I have brought my cat, Gert, to them multiple times to them during the course of her 16 years and they always treated her and I with humanity, kindness and respect. She was diagnosed with rectal cancer and we had to bring her in a few times during the nights and on holidays when our regular vet was closed. We were always seen immediately. Unfortunately, Gert had to be put down last week, but she couldn't have had a better or more peaceful death in my arms. I understand that any time a pet needs to be seen by an emergency vet is very stressful on the parents, but these vets are amazing at what they do! The support staff is also very helpful in answering questions and being supportive. They always check up on patients health with a follow-up phone call and are genuinely concerned with the welfare of both the animals and the owners. If you want the best for your pet, you'll take them here in times of an emergency. RIP Gert.

They cared for my Yorkie after he was attacked by a greyhound. They treated him as if he were the most important dog in the world, while doing the same for all the other pets in their clinic. My little man was he given not just clinical care but affection and love. He was in the clinic over 11 days. He had 3 major surgeries. The invoice was more than anyone would want to believe but it was more than fair. They could have charged me so much mire than they did. Their care is amazing in quality and fair in price. I have tried three day practices to find a vet in Florida. I will use this clinic. They might be more expensive on an item by item comparison but they should be. They are staffed 24 hours a day and have expensive equipment on site. I think it will be less time and money in the end since they are better at diagnosing without unneeded expensive or painful tests. Everyone is good at what they do from the receptionists to the doctors. I was there multiple times per day and saw how the clinic operates. There is not a technician or a doctor to request or avoid. They are all wonderful.
