On more than one occasion Avondale boarding facility did not inform me of soon to be expiring vaccinations (kennel cough or fecals) when I called to set up the appointment for boarding. I have reminders from my regular veterinarian but Avondale requires different vaccinations than my vet does routinely; so I trusted them as my boarding facility to inform me PRIOR to boarding. After the first time Avondale added a $35 charge to my bill for services "needed" I requested to be informed when appointment was made so I had time to take my dog to our regular vet who is less expensive and would allow all the records to remain at one place. Yet it happened again - Avondale charged me another $70 for services they said I "needed". It's too bad they run business like this because my dog seemed to like the sweet girls that helped take care of him. With Avondale already being on the hirer end for boarding costs I can't afford surprises when I come to get my dog and pay my bill. As I told a few friends of my experience I heard from two of them who had similar experiences; higher bills.
