This is one of the worst vet's in Des Moines. We had a horrible experience here with more than one doctor dealing with a misdiagnosis and mistreatment. If this was a hospital for humans, it would have resulted in a lawsuit. This vet is fine for the average monthly and annual care, but if your dog has any sort of special needs, I urge you to try somewhere else. Learn from our mistake!

Riordan Pet Hospital is the ONLY place that I would take my pets. As others have said, they are hands down, the BEST in Greater Des Moines. I have been taking my dogs and cats there 40+ years (since I was 5) and wouldn't go anywhere else. The doctors, the vet tech's and the office staff first class! I highly recommend them!!!!

I've taken my cats to Riordan pet hospital for the past 20 years. They have been spot-on with diagnosis of various cat problems. When I needed to go to Ia. State for specialized care, all of the tests that would typically be done there had already been completed by Dr. Riordan so the Ia. State vet was able to get to get to the diagnosis very quickly. Regular checkups at Riordan are done nicely with all questions answered.

Great people and great care. Reasonable charges for their services.
