We started going to this office 10 years ago, after we rescued twin Bichon dogs. Everyone at JCAH ihas been sensitive to our needs and they always go the "extra mile" when caring for our dogs. One dog recently had surgery for bladder stones, and had a quick and compfortable recovery. The cost of the surgery was fully explained prior to the procedure. The other dog has diabetes and his blood sugar has been a challenge to regulate. The staff at JCAH gave great supportive care while we tried different diabetes meds until we found the best one. Thanks to the clinical and office staff for the skill and compassion they have shown to us on each visit.
I have been going to Jordan Creek for over five years now (since moving to Iowa.) I cannot say enough wonderful things about the vets, techs, and front desk staff. I currently have a nearly eight month-old kitten who came from a very unhealthy environment. Dr. Whitney and Dr. Kueter have gone so far above and beyond to nurture him and see that he has beaten all of the odds. He was recently well enough to be neutered and microchipped, and it went flawlessly. They kept me updated throughout the entire day on how he was doing. They have been so thorough, beyond patient with me, explained every step we took, had special medications compounded, retrieved medical records from his siblings - and all with great compassion and honesty. I cannot imagine receiving this quality of care anyplace else. They are also an accredited AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) veterinary hospital. This means that they are in a minority of vet hospitals / clinics that are held to and meet VERY high standards of excellence in care in all areas. Prior to my kitten, Dr. Kueter cared for my two senior kitties who moved here with multiple medical problems. They lived long full wonderful lives, and I know it was because of the great medical care and love she gave them. Procedures, costs, and recommendations are always explained ahead of time. I have come in with lists of questions, and not a single one has gone unanswered. They have been generous with their time and effort and are truly passionate about what they do. I have never been turned away when my cats needed to be seen ASAP, follow-up calls were made to me out of genuine concern, and I've always felt confident that my "fur babies" were in the best of hands and hearts here. I have presented them with some very challenging situations with my cats, and they have always been up to and met the challenges with great knowledge, expertise, and energy. I truly cannot imagine going anyplace else, and I feel very fortunate to have found them. (My parents also took their cats here for over ten years prior to moving out of state, and I know they feel the same way.) The breadth of experience here is vast, and I know the staff stays very current with preventative treatment options and medicine in general. I have shared many laughs and some tears with the front desk, techs, and vets over the years (as I see my cats as my "kiddos"). I fully trust Jordan Creek with the care of my babies, and I don't say that lightly. They are an amazing team! Thank you to all of you!
We have had a long relationship with Jordan Creek Animal Hospital. I believe all the veterinarians there to be more than "just" competent. Everyone I've encountered has shown kindness and care for our pets and for us. There are pet owners who balk at preventative care for their pets. I look at that differently. It's one thing to take your pet in for an acute illness or injury and have it treated satisfactorily. It's quite another to find a vet paying close attention to what your animal needs to STAY well. If you have a pet with a chronic illness or something deadly serious, believe me, you'll *want* a veterinarian who knows your pet and is knowledgeable enough to give it to you straight. You will want people you trust around you. You will want a well-equipped hospital. There are always options you are free to choose - or not - without judgment. Everyone's situation is different. Everyone has limits as to what they can or are willing to spend. I highly recommend Jordan Creek because of the excellent care my pets have had there. I am impressed by the caliber of their veterinarians, the physical facility and the emphasis on further education Dr. Whitney places upon himself and his staff. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
I've been visiting this office for 6 years. Not only do they provide great vet care, they really care about me and my pets. My cat has ongoing chronic GI problems. They keep track of his history, stay in touch with his specialist at IVS, and recently started treating him for feline IBS. In order to make an official diagnosis they'd have to do surgery and a biopsy. Instead of putting him (and me) through that, they tried different treatments until we found the best mix of food and medication. I really appreciate how they balance his physical health and mental and emotional well-being. Thanks!
we've been loyal customers for 14 years. Last check up for my Cavalier was astronomical in price. Got the hard sell for a Lyme disease vaccine (because we occasionally visit MN), the fact our dog never got a Leptospira shot when she was younger (because of health issues) is suddenly necessary 5 years down the road. Plus she'll need a booster. Never mind that she got sick from it. A irregular heartbeat that I myself have known all along was recently a pause for concern, "maybe she needs an EKG, etc"... I feel like they were reading me the death warrant on my dog. I left very depressed. In the past we have a had excellent care, now I feel we are being nickeled & dimed every visit. Over $250 for a wellness check is A LOT. Maria McLeese
