I've not really cared for this place, as it's a little ran down and has a stench every time I've went. It sort of makes we wonder how they can have sterile areas for surgery with the smell... I've also had a few doctors that their bed side manners weren't favorable (Dr. Debbie Wagner). Then again I've also had doctors like Dr. German that I love, and trust like no other. I personally didn't care for them when we had an emergency and thought that we were about to loose our baby right there in our arms, and Dale was more worried about if we were going to be paying with cash or credit card, or check?? So if you hear anything about this vet being about money- I would have to agree. That instance also seemed a little uncaring. I've been going here for 3 years or so, and I have switched vets in between, but I do like Dr. German and she's very knowledgeable, and unfortunately, Dr. German is employed here... However, this last thing with the vet- may have been my final push over. I vaccinated my dog, however we live in another county, I told them that. Long story short, because we are in the process of moving from one town to the next. Bradley made me pay for a tag because they needed my NEW address in which I did not have yet, instead of being able to use my old address, for K3 county. Well I told them that I wasn't to happy about that because since we're out of county, we would have to pay for K3 counties tag, then legally register in OUR current county, plus our city has a city tag registration, so I would be double paying... When the tall long blonde hair girl asked the short, tan, shoulder length brown hair girl how to handle the situation- she told me "don't worry about it they never check the tags anyways!" WHAT?!? EXCUSE ME!?! So you want me to run the risk of my 16 WEEK old puppy to run off, get caught by the dog catcher, and me not be LEGAL!?!? EXCUSE ME?!? So I called and talked to Debbie Wagner the head doctor, and if she wasn't rude enough to keep cutting me off, all she cared about was giving me K3 counties animal control number to call to see if they would refund my money- NO LADY!! THAT'S NOT WHAT I WANTED! I WANT YOU TO SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND NOT TRY TO DOMINATE ME, AND LISTEN TO WHAT YOUR STAFF IS TELLING PEOPLE TO DO!! If THEY have to abide by county (hence why I had to pay for K3 counties tag) then SO DO I!!... she should of reprimanded the girl- but rather didn't care about that and just about the money! I'm sorry I believe in following the law and not being sneaky! But thanks for trying to get your customer in trouble just so YOU can be legal with the county. Complete BULLCRAP!

i love this place and brought my 2 dogs here for years and before that my poor cat who crossed the rainbow bridge. i always get good care from the doctors but last few visits i hear a lot of negativity from behind the desk while in the waiting room. how can people complain so much when they work with such wonderful people? again i love the doctors and techs they r always so helpful but what i hear sometimes makes me cringe sometimes. thank you for all you've done for my pets. oh and the prices here are lower than all the other vets in the area except for the low cost clinic but way better care here.

Appt at 2pm. At 2:45pm still hadn't gotten into a room. Dog got too nervous and overheated that we canceled and went to Kankakee.

Please know you may have to travel 30-90 miles on the weekends if you have an emergency. The veterinarians need to let their clients know of this possibility.
