Compassionate staff, very professional and knowledgeable. The rooms were clean and didn't have the usual veterinary smell. I would recommend to my friends and family.

I have been here twice with my Boxer and they are fantastic!! Once was with breathing problems and another was from an accident and she needed stitches right away. I called to let them know i was driving there and they got us in right away. The doctors are out of this world. They're love for animals is truely from the core. The assistants are just so wonderful and caring. They understood how much my dog ment to me and I wanted her well. They made sure she was confortable and peaceful. I just love this place. Thank you so much for everything and most of all caring for dog with such love. I will defiently recommend this place to my friends and facebook friends.

My ex-wife took our dog here to be put down after a very long day with a suffering animal. The decision was heartbreaking for my kids. The staff decided they couldn't put the dog down based on a few minutes observation. This morning my kids dog is laying in the front yard in pain because of a pompous, ill informed staff member. They also had the audacity to charge for the visit. Thanks for making a very difficult time for my family that much harder...

I have brought several of my hounds over the years to the Animal ER of McHenry and have always been treated with respect and compassion for what ever is going on with my dogs. I know for a fact that my female hound would not have lived if she didn't get the appropriate and immediate attention that she did at their facility. Most people who are bringing their animals to them are in a crisis and it's not always easy dealing with people in the middle of a crisis but they have always done what they needed to do when your pet is in pain. Highly recommended!!

i brought my new puppy in at aroundmidnight because her lips had swollen up and were hard like tiny little hockey pucks. i knew you could give dogs benadryl but i have always had large dogs (over a hundred pounds) and my puppy was only 5 or 6 pounds so i didnt know what to do right away they gave her benadryl and an antibiotic and determined the reaction was to either the new food we had put her on or a bug bite....they stayed with us until swelling went down....yes it was expensive but it was the middle of the night and it was my brand new puppy...i was happy they were there and acted timely.
