We've been taking our pets to Scott since 1996. He will cut to the chase if he has any concerns for your pet's well-being and he will not candy coat anything. If there is something wrong with your pet, he will tell you after he makes a thorough examination. He will help you to make the best possible choices for your pet's medical care, and he is very understanding about different financial situations that may drive the best possible care for your four-legged friend. If I ever have an issue, I can always call him and he will make accommodations to see me as soon as possible. I HIGHLY recommend Scott Radasch as a caregiver for your pet's medical needs.

My husband is a Master Chief in the U.S. Navy, which means we move a lot. We have 2 German Shepherds (one is 10 and the other is 7) as well as two cats. One of the most dreadful things for me is trying to find a new vet that is competent and knowledgeable when we relocate. We had only lived here about 6 or 8 weeks when my 10 year old GSD that has arthritis in her hips started limping on her front leg. I looked up several places online to check out reviews. I came across Acacia Animal Clinic that had good reviews and they were close. So I called in the morning, early, about 7 a.m. and Dr. Radasch answered the phone. He listened to my frantic story of my sweet dog and asked me to call back at 9 am so that the desk help could set me up an appointment for that day. I called back and was given an appointment at 2:30. When I arrived for the first time to Acacia Animal Clinic, I was seen immediately. He did a thorough check up on Zessin and decided that a steroid injection would be the best thing for her. Honestly, I was expecting to have to pay for X-Rays and blood work. Within 24 to 36 hours, Zessin was walking without limping. My second encounter with Dr. Radasch was for a routine heartworm test for both of my dogs. Again, I called, made my appointment, and when I arrived at the clinic, I was seen immediately. Really, the thought that ran through my head was, wow, I wish my doctor's appointments were always on time with no waiting too. It just makes you feel like your time is just as important as theirs. Anyway, he did the blood test and then I asked for his opinion on heartworm medication and flea control. (I used to buy both online.) Dr. Radasch took the time to explain the difference between what he sells at his clinic and the big name brands that you can buy through the online services. He clearly wasn't trying to persuade me to buy what he sells but only to educate me. Acacia Animal Clinic was immaculate. If you are looking for a veterinarian that knows his stuff then this is your clinic. This clinic is not about frills, comfy chairs, and a fancy office, this clinic is about your animals. Dr. Radasch spent probably 15-20 minutes, after he was done with my dogs, talking with me a number of different things regarding my GSD's. He is wonderful, and I will be back.

On Monday afternoon, my cat's eye started watering giant globs of mucus. We are not panicky pet parents, so I gave it a day, thinking he might just have something in it, or might be coming down with a cold. By Wednesday, when it wasn't getting better, I knew I'd have to take him to the doctor. Our favorite doctor left our regular clinic a year ago, and we haven't had good experiences with the others, so I started asking around for suggestions. A client of mine recommended Acacia, and when I looked them up online, there were so many wonderful reviews, I definitely felt it was worth a try. Now I know what everyone was raving about. When I called on Wednesday morning, Dr. Radasch himself answered the phone, which really surprised me. I explained the situation, and he asked if I could bring the cat in tomorrow. I asked if there was any way he could see him today, as I was quite worried about the eye. Dr. Radasch explained that the clinic was actually CLOSED today, because they were having some work done, but if I called back in an hour, he would know if it was safe to bring the kitty by. I did so, and he said I could bring him right over. I was amazed. I took Boo in, and the doctor had us examined, treated, and packed up in about 15 minutes, with thorough instructions of what to look for if things weren't getting better. He didn't seem at all irritated or put out about seeing us "off hours." In short, I couldn't be happier or more grateful, and all three of my boys will now be patients there.

I have been to several vets in the Gurnee, Libertyville, Grayslake area and found Dr. Radasch to be the most thorough and accomodating. Last year I felt some lumps on my 8 yr old Golden Ret and Dr. Radasch took her in immediately w/o an appointment. Through biopsies he diagnosed her with mast cell tumors (cancer). To see an oncologist would mean waiting 6 weeks. Dr. Radasch made some calls on my behalf and I was seeing an oncologist the next day. He worked with the oncologist and Dr. Radasch performed the aggressive surgery needed to remove all affect tissue. He thoroughly explained the disease and the importance of checking for lumps frequently. In the course of the last year, I found 2 more lumps. Each time I called in a panic at 6:45 am. Dr. Radasch personally answered the phone, took her in immediately and removed the lumps. Forfunately, they were NOT mast cell tumors. I am comforted knowing Dr. Radasch is her vet and I trust his spot on assessment of her. I credit her life to him
