The people at the front desk act as if they have never worked in a vet office before. A good first impression.... I think not. I call for an answer and they cant give me any information and I always get the response "sorry I just started working here". I mean how many people just start working there. I do recognize a few faces but there are always new ones every time I come in. The checking in process is a joke I stand up there and wait until someone appears with a mouth stuffed with food and asks "have you been helped?" unprofessional! On a good note the staff in the exam rooms are more then helpful and kind. They ask questions that are caring and knowledgeable. They let me know what my pets needs and why they need it. The Doctors are very kind as well. They seem like they are really caring about my family and our pets. So my not so good feeling about the clinic is better when I exit the exam rooms but then I have to go back up to the empty counter just to wait for a different receptionist to come to the desk and ask if I need checked in.
My shih-tzu, Dempsey, had severe problems with his front legs. Dr. Cawood did everything in his power to determine the best avenue of treatment for Dempsey even consulting with the Department of Veterinary Clinical Services in Columbus, Ohio. Eventually Dempsey had three surgeries to correct the congenital problems in his front legs. Doctor Cawood and the staff at Indian Creek were very conscientious and concerned about Dempsey's welfare and checked on him several times after each surgery. Thanks to Doctor Kevin Cawood, Dempsey is walking, running and enjoying life. I can't thank Dr. Cawood and his staff enough.
After three other vets incorrectly costing me almost a thousand dollars, I was referred to Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital for a fourth opinion on my dogs problems. I new right away this was the place to be. Dr. Cawood was extremely knowledgable, personable and explained all the issues we had with our dog and presented us with options that the other vets hadn't even discussed with us. In the end he hit the nail on the head and within four weeks our dog was acting great again and it cost us less than a hundred buck!! We have gone back several times with our other pets for basic health care and found them to be a high quality practice that truly cares.
I met Kevin years ago when he treated my puppy for hook worm, My old vet had seen him over and over with no help. As soon as Kevin seen what my pup was doing he treated him and saved him. We have trusted Kevin for all five of our dogs and always will. I would and have recommend them to all my friends. You can tell they are all there for the right reasons.
