Despite the fact there are 4 other veterinary practices within a mile of my home, I continue to make the drive to St. Joe Vet, because the staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. I was treated very poorly by a vet in the Dupont Rd area, in regards to a one time tardiness for an appointment. 5 minutes means I have to reschedule, even with a phone call enroute? No, thanks. NEVER do I get such rude or inflexible treatment at St. Joe. If you want the very best treatment for your pet (and yourself), use this practice. I have come to this practice for about 20 years. Although I initially missed Dr. Chastain, Drs. Hendrickson and Stapleton have easily filled my high expectations for medical care and personable service. I should be so lucky to have an MD for myself I trust as much as these two vets.

All those old reviews are from years ago. No way that's this vet clinic now. I take all 3 of my dogs here and we all love Dr. Hendrickson! I was worried about finding a new vet because I recently moved here and was seeing a different vet for over 10 years. But after taking my newest puppy here I felt like we were home. All the staff is friendly and my kids love to look for our dogs name on the welcome sign. Everyone is ready to help and answer any questions or concerns you have. I feel that Dr. Hendrickson is seriously concerned for the well being of every pet you bring in to see her. I'm so glad I was able to find a new vet for my furbabies and would recommend to anyone who wants their pet to be treated like family and their health well taken care of.

First of all I am stunned to read the bad reviews, however, they are a few years old and staff has changed in that time. We are crazy about our dogs. 2 boxers and 1 new beagle pup. We have changed vets several times and were given St. Joe Center vet's name by someone that has been with them for years. We could not be happier! We have been with this office for over a year and a half now. Our boxers are seniors so we are unfortunately in for check up's quit a bit. We love Dr. Stapleton and the entire staff. We have never been in and had a bad experience. The staff at the front desk always makes us feel welcome and cared for. We trust them and their care and knowledge very much! We have never left our dogs with anyone other than family if we are unable to take them with us on a trip (this very rarely happens). This shows our love and trust for St Joe Center Vet. I never worry about leaving the boys in their care for procedures because I know they are cared for!

Whenever I go to St. Joe Vet, I feel as though I'm going to visit family. My dogs and I are greeted by name, made to feel as though there's no one else in the world except us for the staff there to deal with. Both are dogs HATE going to the vet, but are treated so sweetly and with such compassion and tenderness that I know their anxiety comes from the shots and procedures, rather than from how they are taken care of. I wouldn't even consider taking "my girls" anywhere else for their medical care.

I took my ferret in because he was losing hair, was dehydrated, and acting lethargic. Before taking him in, I called and asked if they even saw exotic pets such as ferrets, and they said yes, we take ferrets. After bringing him in, a vet looked at him and told me it MAYBE allergies and it might go away. But had no other ideas and or suggestions. Only when I directly asked about her knowledge of ferrets did she admit she knew little to nothing. I'm sorry but don't sit there and act like you knew something when you knew nothing! I brought him in with the understanding they were knowledgable about ferrets, as they said over the phone. So, I paid my hard earned money for someone who knew nothing to tell me nothing... They should've said they don't specialized in exotic pets before I came there. Never going back again! And by the way, it wasn't allegies. The KNOWLEDGABLE vet on South Anthony knew it was adrenal disease, and it was fixed.
