Went to pick up the remains of myYorkie that had died 2 weeks ago. I had received the bill for services and paid the bill via an electronic account through my bank. When I arrived at the clinic, the tech brought out the bag with Lexie's remains and stated that I owed 320.00 for services. I stated I had paid that via an electronic account. The check had not arrived at the clinic-10/24 was the date I paid via the bank website. The tech would not allow me to access the Wi-Fi with my own computer, private access of the clinic, to show that I had indeed paid the bill. Since the check was not in hand, the tech promptly took the remains back to the back of the office. "we'll call you when we get the check". The vets were wonderful with the care of my dog, the tech, however, was not. Nice to know that small town compassion only is extended when money is in hand.

This place has been my only vet since my very first cat Scooter, who passed away at 18 and 1/2 years of old age, thank to their care. I live in Lafayette now and still have not found a vet up here that I trust as much as Dr. Jone, his wife, and Dr. Buck, let alone the staff. My first puppy that I adopted while living on my own Dr. Jone found a rock in his stomach within 2 minutes of his vet checkup. I was given a puppy that was said to be sound, had all his shots, and was micro chipped and Greencastle Vet Clinic found all this to be a lie and help me through it all. Then again my puppy hurt his neck somehow and I take it to the Purdue emergency vet, who tell me that he could be suffering from a genetic problem where his skull is separating from his spine. I Freaked ! They then tell me to take him to his regular vet to discuss treatment auctions. Thus when I took him the next day to Dr. Buck she called shenanigans, that my dog had hit his head on something and just pulled some muscles in his neck. One week worth of pain killers and keeping my boy still and he was his normal self. Then my husband found a kitten and brought it home and Dr. Buck and Dr. John where right their for that fat cat. He started to have blood come out of his back end and Dr. John diagnosed that he wasn't able to handle dry food and it was messing with his intestines, then perspired wet food from Dolor General and Fat cat has been losing weight and no more blood or potty problems. When all this happened at first yet another trip to the Purdue emergency room and they told us "We have no idea, take him to your regular vet on monday. Pay us $375 for our diagnoses." Strange how Dr. John's diagnoses only cost me a vet visit and a $0.50 can of cat food. Even my Samwise has only received the most excellent care and has never had an issue other than needing yearly shots because of the great vets here. We have even had some pets that have not had the greatest run and Dr. John was there for our family when we had to put my dad's beloved labrador down because of her skin condition. He even shed a tear with my dad when she was put to sleep I have even brought foster dogs to them, where other vets diagnoses just didn't sound right, because they are free vet clinics. Dr. John once again swops in, gives a simple and a totally no brainer diagnosis, and the foster is right as rain in a week. I trust no one else, not even the purdue small animal emergency clinic, to touch any of my animals or any animal in my care. They may be pricey but the peace of mind is worth every penny to know my babies are safe and cared for.

I live in Illinois-but was alerted to this clinic by a post on facebook of an animal hit by a car--and refused any aid-because they didn't want to get stuck with the bill (a phone conversation with Dr. Davis) I'm saddened to hear money could ever get in the way with compassion-animal lovers even stepped up to donate-the very least some pain meds could have been administered till REAL help came! SHAME ON YOU!!

Had a consult with vet Buck on my cat. My cat had bad breath, and I had noticed some redness in her gums. Buck looked and said "she has severe allergic reaction to tartar on her teeth" and showed me two possibly three teeth that need to be extracted. We talked about the fact more would eventually be needing pulled. I said we can't afford more than the amount for two or three to be pulled right now, and I would rather do it gradually. I thought it would be very hard on my cat, and told Buck that she will not eat any soft food. So, we agreed on just the worst few. She had them give us a print out of the cost plus tax. It was about $365. I called the next day and set up an appt. Well, the day she has it done the vet calls to give us our update, and basically tells me she pulled all of her teeth except canines and incisors pulled! I flip! That morning before I handed the girl at the vet my cat, I had made sure they were only pulling the two or three teeth, and again said I could not afford more and didn't want any more pulled! I will never in a million years go to this clinic again. I am a huge animal lover, and go as far as having a cat declawed by laser when I have had to have them declawed. As far as I and my family are concerned, this vet is nothing but horrible! Very upset animal lover!

I am very pleased with the communication between the staff and I , When I called to ask about my puppy while she stayed over night they talked about her as if they knew her pretty well , they took great care of her while she was there , and when i picked her up the next morning she was happy and acted like she made friends with all the nurses and doctors . that showed me that they took the time to pet her and make her feel comfortable . by her actions towards the staff I knew she was treated great because she is usually shy around people she does not know . i loved how clean the place was . thats actually why i chose this vet . i visited several vets in my area before choosing where i wanted cloe to have surgery . this vet was the cleanest by far . Awesome pet care here and I did not drain my pocket book . everything was reasonable !!
