All the vets at Creekside are caring and knowledgeable. I couldn't ask for a better staff to work with either. When I came in without an apt with my lab because she wouldn't stop vomiting Dr Jackson admitted her immediately and did surgery and the staff kept me informed of her status and recovery. Without Creekside I wouldn't have Gracie with me today. I would never go anywhere else.
Front desk staff was very sweet and friendly, and I did get in right away, but once the doctor came in she looked at my dog for MAYBE 2 minutes and then advised me to let the tooth rot so that it would be easier to extract later. I was shocked at her "advice." She was not personable at all, acted indifferent to me and my dog, and I was incredibly surprised that she chose this profession--working around people AND animals because she seemed miserable to be there. She left the room quickly for me to make a decision and then never came back. Prior to this, the vet tech chimed in and said that she has a 15 year old dog with a broken tooth from years ago, pulp exposed, and "it is fine." I honestly couldn't believe what I was hearing. The vet tech kept looking at my scared dog in the eyes and almost fed her a treat prior to a potential surgery. Do these people get trained in animal behavior?? I was incredibly disappointed and lost about 50.00 for 2 minutes of poor care. I am not saying the other staff is bad, but that was my experience with Dr. Keenan.
The staff and doctors are great . They know my dogs and how each one behaves when scared. Cannot say enough good things about them. Love how they truly care.
I have lived in the Lafayette area most of my life and was never satisfied with the vet care we received with any of our pets throughout that time at any of the animal hospitals. We switched to Creekside when having our cat declawed, and we loved everything about them. We were taken to a room right away. The doctors and staff were so sweet with our pets. You can tell they really love what they do. On top of it, our cat had an allergic reaction to the tissue glue, so we had to take her in several more times after the procedure. They didn't charge us for any of the follow up appointments. I paid a small charge for an antibiotic she needed, but never an exam fee. I was just so happy with my experience there!
