I've been taking my dogs and cats there since 2 years before Dr. Butler took over the business and have nothing but positive things to say about her. 25 years ago I took my animals to the usual bigger animal hospitals here in Valpo and never would see the same vet twice in a row and they basically knew nothing about MY animals. Dr. Butler is the vet my animals see EVERY time. She knows them, their health history and their personalities very well. She will get right down on the floor with my greyhounds at their eye level (just the way you would with nervous children) rather than putting them on a stainless steel table and making them more nervous. I have never felt rushed by her and I'm sure I've taken more than my share of her time once in a while. She's like a family friend rather than just our vet. I will NEVER change vets and recommend her to every animal owner I know.

Nice staff, they did help my puppy recover from kennel cough. I paid the fee to get lifetime free shots. The next visit i told my husband the fee would be $70....the total came out to be almost $200! My puppy had an ear infection at the time of the first initial check up in which those charges should have been charged to petland for selling a sick puppy also with an ear infection! My puppy had to be dropped off at the Valpo clinic in the morning and picked up by 6pm for two weeks. She suffered from an ear infection the whole time she could have been treated 14 days prior. I also inquired the spading cost... They said it would could almost $300! That's alot for a 6lb dog! Therefore I now take her to the Hobart clinic the fees are reasonable and they have a great staff!!

This is a great place to take your pet. I met Dr. Butler in an emergency referral from a dear friend, and stayed with her until my dog passed. They are most compasionate, and thorough. Dr. Butler helped to keep my old dog healthy and happy. My dog was never afraid to go to them. I highly recommend!

most veterinarians have the knowledge to treat animals. it is hard to find a veterinarian and staff that treat "fur babies". valparaiso animal hospital has the knowledge, bedside manner and reasonable cost.

Dr. Butler and her staff are amazing! They really explain everything that is going on with your pet and take the time to make you feel comfortable! On top of that you walk into the place and they actually remember you! Most animal hospitals look at you like another number but not here. Very efficient with their check ups and appointment reminders. I highly recommend Valparasio Animal Hospital to everyone. I drive 45 minutes from Hammond IN just for their excellent service. 5 stars all the way!
