Wonderful care through the years for our horse Tom. In several emergencies Eudora always pulls through. Highly trust and recommend Eudora Animal Hospital.

Recently had an after hours vet call after our horse had an accident. The vet showed up very quickly and hurriedly started to stitch her up. After sedating her and beginning to stitch her, he realized that she had punctured her lung. He then took several personal phone calls before telling us that she needed to see a specialist immediately. We began loading her up where he took another personal phone call, then helped us get her loaded. She died on the way to the specialist. I understand that she could have died regardless of the treatment she received but the fact that he didn't even look the wound over closely prior to sedating her, and his uninterest in doing his job before taking his personal phone calls, ensured that she would not make it for a 45 minute trailer ride.

We have been taking our animals to them for years and they have always done a wonderful job. They have the best prices I have seen for vet in the Kansas City area.

I took the 3 month old lab mix puppies my roommate and I found on the side of the road to them. They are very friendly, and efficient, but still take time to explain things. And they are great with the puppies. I had to take Lily back in a week later because she developed sore spots that she was itching like crazy. Dr. Schreiner took a sample (very easily! with assistant's help, kept her calm even while scraping some of her skin away!) and looked at it, diagnosed her with demodex mites, then had me look at them under the microscope too. THAT impressed me that he took time to show me what they looked like on top of what they were, how they work, etc. He said they shouldn't be making her itch though, so it is probably allergies. Instead of giving me a prescription dog allergy medicine, he told me to go to Walmart and get the generic benedryl and give it to her 2x a day. Guess what? No more scratching! and for only about 3 bucks! They don't charge for the exam when you bring them in for shots, only for the shots. I only paid $46 for Lily's first round of shots. That's so much better than having to pay for an exam and shots! Definitely wouldn't go anywhere else. Just good old fashioned country vets who won't bs you or make you pay for a bunch of stuff you don't need. I'm boarding her there for the first time this week... and honestly, I don't know who I would trust more to take care of her while I'm gone! We'll see how it goes!
