My cat got sick on a Friday and Dr. Allen took care of him as if it was his own. Bottom line, if you are concerned about expert veterinary care, humane advice and not so much about fancy looks you are definitely in the right place. I called some other places, after mentioning the symptoms let’s just say the other clinics were charging human emergency room fees (mostly because my cat had to be treated over the weekend). Today my cat is back to normal thanks to both Dr. Allen and his son’s care. Sure phone calls can be short at times (this is understandable especially when you care taking such great care of your patients). I surely wouldn't be taking my advice from someone who doesn't have the guts to put his face (profile photo) where his mouth is. Just saying…

This is a fine father and son team of caring veterinarians. And yes they sometimes do get VERY busy. But, on getting to know these two gentlemen you will soon be as avid a fan as am I. My very sick 18 year old cat was treated with gentle care that was extended in their understanding of how such events affect the animal owner themselves and offered supportive end of life care that showed genuine empathy and respect. I have the utmost respect and loyalty for these two gentlemen.....

I have taken my dogs to Dr. Allen for over 30 years and all I can say is that i wish i could find a doctor for me that is as good as he is to my dogs. Absolutely the best vet in Kansas City!

We have been with this clinic for ages. My family also goes there and even the retired family members went there. Although phone calls can be short sometimes please understand that it is only 2 of them there. They have never done us wrong, the price is great, they are fantastic with the animals! Any question I have ever had they have been able to answer. I would and have recommended this place. We will be with them for many years to come :)

My 13 year old Chow mix has been sick. We were thinking the worst. I called Dr. Allen, he talked to me and advised me to bring him in to see what we could do. Thank goodness he was able to see him today. The visit was very quick, reasonable, and I honestly think my old boy will be ok. I will definitely bring the rest of my furry family to his office.
