I have 3 cats and a dog and have been taking all of my pets to Dr Strickland for over 10 years now. She is absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend her. She is excellent at answering all of my questions as simply or as scientifically as I desire. I've never left her office anything but 100% satisfied with the experience. The groomer at her office is top notch as well and they take great care of my long-haired cat when he goes in for a shave. If you're looking for a new veterinarian or a second opinion, definitely put this place on list.

After some issues with a prior Vet, i switched up to Oak park Veterinary Clinic. They treated my cat and me with respect. After 13 years with my beloved pet, his health started to go south. They really helped me with making the difficult decisions in the end. Decisions that were best for my furry friend. While I haven't adopted any new animals, their loyalty and caring made me want to come here to let other animal lovers know that this place deserves your business.

I had the worst experience at this clinic. I will summarize the experience with these key highlights: Background: I was out of town and needed to get my dog, Bella, groomed. The groomer required Bella's most recent records on file prior to the service. I called Oak Park Veterinary Clinic (OPVC) and explained the situation. 1.) The male receptionist, who I believe is the Veterinarian's husband, yelled (actually raised his voice) at me because I was apparently late on 2 shots for my dog. Which was news to me! 2.) Following the receptionists tirade about Bella being late on shots, he then began to essentially refuse to send off the paperwork because he said that the groomer had to make the call, which is a lie. I even provided the fax number for the groomer, but he said no. 3.) Then the receptionist began to ask me if I was ever going to return to OPVC, then began to tell me that he was just going to delete my file from the system before I ever got a chance to say anything in return to his question. Which was very confusing because I was just recently there for an appointment. 4.) Then in the middle of me explaining that I do not want to be deleted, especially because I would need to know all of Bella's information regarding shots, he hung up on me. He interrupted me in the middle of my sentence and said "I'm deleting you from the system", then hung up on me. Now I am not one to usually post negative reviews, basically because I realize that most situations are isolated and do not represent the whole, but I believe this is very indicative of how this facility is run on a daily basis. I have since voiced my displeasure with several friends and acquaintances, all of which have said they experienced the same thing, and ultimately chose a different clinic. Hopefully they treat the animals better than their human customers.

I have owned a business in Lenexa for over 15 years and have heard from several people that Oak Park Veterinary is awesome.

I've been going to Oak Park Vet for over three years now. They have taken wonderful care of our two dogs. Dr. Strickland has the best "bedside manner" with our two big guys. I refer everyone I know to their office!
