I loved my experience at Blue Hills Animal Hospital! I have a lhasapoo and he needed to update his shots and have 11 baby teeth taken out. They were very friendly and offered different cost options based on our affordability. Our little guy was taken care of very well and they gave us very easy home care for his recovery from his mouth surgery. Another side note is that they are very quick during the appointment, and you are with them the whole time so you can see everything they do. I went to K-State vet center and it took like 3 hrs for basic shots and check ups. I highly recommend this place!

I have been using Blue Hills animal hospital for years, why I don't know. Every time I make an appointment for my animal for blood work or a shot I leave there at least 200$ lighter in my pocket. I have constantly requested them to only perform the procedure I made an appointment for and yet they consistently run other tests, give unnecessary shots without my knowledge, until I have to pay. Trying to refill prescriptions is a nightmare! I do not recommend taking your animal here. The staff is friendly but friendliness only goes so far.

Everytime we ask about getting a written RX for HeartGuard, they give us the third degree and tell us we shouldn't use 1800PetMeds. They told us 1800PetMeds gets their products illegally and don't guarantee their products, which it says on their website that they do. I also called before to tell them I thought my dog had worms and they told me to bring in a stool sample. I took one in within the hour, paid the fee for them to examine it, then they called to say he didn't have worms and asked why I thought he did. When I told them it looked like rice in his bed, they said oh yes, that's definitely worms. I had to go back and get medication. Not impressed. They seem overpriced and they say they don't accept appointments in the morning for check ups. We will be looking for another vet.

If I could rate this lower I would. I went in about a week ago with my little cus cat. The cat was probably seven months old and was having obvious breathing trouble. When we first walked in they welcomed us and asked us if we had ever been there before. After my grandma told her no that my aunt was a client (who was owner of the cat) she than proceeded to have my grandma feel out paper work. Didnt even once look at the cat. She asked if the cat had ever been to the vet and my grandma said not that she knew. After that she asked once again if we were the owners and if we had an account. (still not taking acceptance the cat could not breath) She than began to proceed to tell us the doctor was not in and she would not been seen till four (we arrived at 12) because BOTH vets were at lunch. So FINALLY after ten mins she took the cat an I into a room. She than asked me if I was the owner of the cat for the fourth time and I once again said no. She than began to proceed to tell me that it looked like the cat was having breathing problems. (obvious by a two year old) So she went and talked to another nurse came in asked again about us being owners. BY then i was beyond fed up. So another nurse came in and told us once again the vets were at lunch and they werent sure when they would be back, but we could take them to another vet or kstate vet hospital. So without saying anything i picked up the cat and we left. On our way to kstate the cat died in the back seat. It was not a pain free death either. So my question to this place is why did both vets take a lunch break at the same time? Your sign out front say ANIMAL HOSPITAL!! So I would just like to say I was highly unsatisfied with this place due to the staff and how after five times of answering the same question they still do not understand. Also how they never once offered to call a vet and see if there was even a possible way to get one in. SO thanks to you for not even trying I had to explain to two young children why their cat is no longer with us. We could have possible saved the cat if you would have mentioned the Kstate vet hospital the first five mins of us being there not after 20. Thanks, Very unhappy pet owner

I was very weary scheduling an appointment with Little Apple Vet but I had to because my usual vet was completely booked and I was afraid my pup's cold was an infection! I read all of the reviews and expected a very non-personal and way too expensive appointment. It ended up ok. Not the BEST I've been to but a lot better than expected! My 7 month old dog had a regular exam and 2 medications for about $75.00. The doctor came out and spoke with us about his condition and explained everything too. She was very kind. The only thing I didn't like was they didn't offer us the opportunity to be in the room while they were checking my dog out. Very clean.
