My dog is 13 yrs old. He is on a few general maintenance meds. If you like to hear " I realize your dog needs medication and he is out, but if you need or want more, you'll have to schedule a office appointment to get another prescription" This is the Vet for you. lol. There are vets and doctors who help you save $ and time . Some give sample meds etc.And there are vets and doctors who want the CASH, the $$$$ for office charges for perceptions, etc.. . Broadway Animal Clinic tells me I need office visits regularly for his everyday meds. I think its a rip off when they wont give you the prescribed meds, meds that were prescribed by them as a "always" "general maintenance" thing. Not to mention the hoops you need to jump through getting prescriptions. When I first met Dr. Persely he said he would not make me get / pay for office calls to get my pets everyday meds. especially my dogs ear antibiotic cleaning meds, He must not of wrote our agreement down in my file because it takes call after call, visit after visit and the office girl's keep telling me " I need a office call to get his prescribed ear meds" And " we dont know what ear meds he's on" I even brought the medication in with me...guess what? It didnt help, they dont know or see it in his file (they say) Again I was sent away with no meds as I was firmly told by them " YOU WILL NOT GET THE MEDICATION YOUR DOG NEEDS UNTIL YOU BRING YOUR DOG IN FOR A OFFICE VISIT" LOL Are you kidding me? What a waist of my time and hard earned money. I have been with Broadway animal clinic for about 4 yrs.And recently was in for a " Office call" for one of my cats, And Rusty was in just 8 months ago. because they would not refile his general daily prescription, And of course AGAIN made Rusty and I see them for general maintenance med refill. Rusty felt fine but ...." IF YOU WANT MEDS YOU'LL HAVE TO MAKE A OFFICE APPOINTMENT EVEN IF YOUR PET FEELS FINE" Thanks again Doc, Iam sorry. I would like to be more humble. I trusted you for this simple stuff. You should know, my Rusty's ears are sore. I Especially Dont Like That !!!! Obviously Rusty does not like his ears sore needlessly, SHAME ON YOU BROADWAY ANIMAL CLINIC. I trusted you, Other vets I have had , know what meds my Rusty is on and the ear medication has always been so easy. When Iam out, I get it anytime they are open for business, they sell it to me WITHOUT HASSLE, It takes minutes at most. Iam not chancing you'll do this to Rusty and I again. And your welcome for my 3-4 years of $. My new vet assures me this wont happen with them as you assured me you would not charge me office calls for his ear meds, when we met. I've found the vets and staff to be caring and good to deal with. They seem to really care for the pets and they take the time to understand the pet's needs along with the pet parent's desires and needs. Fees are reasonable. I certainly recommend them.
