We have been taking our "family" here since we moved to Louisville 9 years ago. Our experiences here have been nothing but positive. Dr. Gayheart and Wendy always provide wonderful care for our babies. They demonstrate a true love and compassion for the animals and always have their (and our) best interests at heart. We have complete faith and trust in them!

We started going to Animal Doctors when we got our puppy 3 months ago, per the recommendation of our neighbor. Dr. Gayheart is AMAZING, patient, and truly the right person for this job- she loves animals!! Wendy is awesome as well and has been very patient with us when we missed an appointment & always takes the time to answer questions.

Our pets have been patients at Animal Doctors for 13 years. Carrying on Dr. Stakelbeck's tradition, Dr. Gayheart and Wendy provide compassionate, conservative, and thorough care. Over the 13 years we've had to say goodbye to 3 of our four-legged family members and they have handled each one with sensitivity and gentleness. Their love of animals shines through in everything they do!!

Animal Doctors is hands down the BEST animal doctor I've ever taken my pets to. Dr. Carrie (Utley) Gayheart has a sixth sense and special bond with animals unlike I've ever seen with any veterinarian. She is not only concise and accurate with her diagnoses, she also has an empathy and compassion for both the pet and the owner that one does not see too often in today's world. She can generally diagnose and treat in one visit and she doesn't push extra unneeded services down your throat like so many other vets do today. She is one in a million. It's worth the extra mile.

Dr. Gayheart has been fantastic in helping us deal with a multitude of unusual pet issues and we have been fortunate to have had her medical expertise and advice. Wendy has also been invaluable as we have had to make many emergency calls and she has been well trained and educated to provide accurate and knowledgeable information. They both have a genuine love for animals and it shows in the thoroughness of their work and interactions with their clients, both two and four legged. I would highly recommend Animal Doctors for quality, reasonably priced services that you will trust after one visit.
