I have been taking my 13-year-old cat, Tori, to Dr. Jones for at least 10 years. Although Tori gets stressed by riding in the car, as soon as Dr. Jones places his hands on her, she just melts like butter and becomes so calm that I can hardly believe it is the same cat! I strongly recommend the Cat Clinic to anyone who has a cat. As someone else said, the waiting room is even calm. No barking dogs or any other animal to upset your cat. When it comes Tori's time to pass on, I know that Dr. Jones will be there to make it a wonderful trip!
Dr. Jones and his staff are just the best...kind, gentle, supportive, and most importantly, super-competent. I drive an hour (one way) to bring my kitties here because everyone is so lovely and interested in the health and comfort of my 'fur-babies'. There are no barking dogs so no one is stressed and patients move in and out quietly. It's just nice to have a feline-specialty facility in the area and to be treated so well.
Dr. Jones and his staff are extraordinary. They totally understand my "cat-lady" eccentricities...and atmosphere in the clinic is calm and supportive. I have broughteverything from litters of ferals to old friends who needed their last days to be as comfortable as possible.. ..Dr. Jones had been the perfect vet for all our needs.
My black and white cat O, was slowly winding down after 16 years of a long well-traveled life. One night, she was having severe digestive problems and I took her to a (different) emergency room vet. He suggested since she was having constipation problems, and old, that I should just put her down. But - O wasn't ready to die just because she was old! I was heartbroken that this was offered as our only option. I looked around for a different vet and found Dr. David Jones at the Cat Clinic of Louisville. First of all, this was the first vet office visit, that didn't cause O alot of stress, She was SO much more peaceful in the waiting room, without being surrounded by barking dogs. After Dr. David examined O and found her to be aging but well, he changed her diet, to a softer medical food he prescribed for older cats. This change alone helped her to live on for yet another year! But a year later, when O became really tired and started to slide, and it became obvious it was her time to go - Dr. David handled her death with grace and dignity. I can not say enough about this doctor and staff, and the excellent service he gave to me, in helping me take great care of my dearest pet friend. I recommend all those that love their cats to bring them to this wonderful clinic for their daily health and long-term care. Thank you Dr, David Jones!
If you own a cat and live in Louisville this is the place to take them! I drove 25 minutes to the Cat Clinic, because it was worth each trip. My cats Jack & Lullaby are FIV & Herpes positive & need extra special treatment. The cat clinic has gone above and beyond my expectations. From Jack's surgery (he recovered very quickly from his bladder stone being removed) to Lullaby's dental surgery (she as eating like normal the 1st day after her he cured her gingivitis) and even his staff kitty-sitting for me when I'm out of town for a rather cheap rate. Currently I'm in the process of moving to Chicago and I'm terrified of sending my cats to another doctor, because no one could be better than Dr. Jones.
