Dr. needs some serious lessons in being a caregiver. 1. when my dog had a dangerous, yet treatable immune disorder, he freaked out and left me on the floor of the clinic crying for hours (granted they did let me stay to cry for hours), when one of the kind vet techs informed me that another hospital was how he could get treatment, I left and my dog was saved. 2. When getting medication for said dog, I called in an order (which I had already done here) same Dr. calls me back in a panic saying how they need money up front because they can't trust people not to pick up there meds. Umm...okay, except I just had the previous month. 3. Today I dropped off a flyer for a missing dog and went to walk across the street to the coffee house to drop off another, Dr. ran out to tell me "You can't park here", ran back in and ran back out apologizing that he didn't know I was a client. Terrible, terrible, terrible bedside manner.

We've been going there for 10+ years. What better review than to say our dogs love going there? They walk in with tails wagging! Dr. Rabek and the entire staff have shown nothing but courtesy and love for the animals. He's knowledgeable and gives us excellent care. When one of our dogs was very sick and near death, he was sympathetic and helped us through a very hard time.

Prices are fair and availability is excellent.

dont know why i didnt listen to the last review. the doctors bedside manner is pathetic. he makes you feel like you are making a big deal out of nothing. when i voiced my concern about my puppy running into things and i think she may have gone blind all of the sudden, he told me that was normal for puppies to be clumsy. i wanted a second opinion from another vet... come to find out, there is something neurologically wrong with my puppy but it can be treated. i was told if i waited my longer, there would have been nothing they could have done. i thank my lucky stars i got that second opinion!!!! do not go to this vet!! you will regret it!!!!!

I've been going to Crescent Hill animal hospital for 15+ years. every member of my family has been going to Dr Rabek with their animals during that entire period. Dr Rabek has been incredible to us the entire time. He's cared for about a dozen family pets in that time period. In fact he has been so good and kind to me over the years I often think about how there is no possible way I could ever thank or repay him for the his help. The people who complain about his bedside manner are people who created their animal's problem's with their own irresponsibility, and Dr Rabek let them know it. Dr Rabek is a caring, thorough professional. He, like any other pet lover, cannot stand to see animals mistreated. He tries to explain the the problems an animal has in detail to the owner with accurate and sometimes complex terminology. His goal is to make sure the owners completely understand what is going on and how to best care for their animals. He has gone way beyond the call of duty for me and my pets numerous times. I recommend his services to all pet owners I meet.
