I've had both of my dogs fixed here and have had great service and results. They took wonderful care of my puppies!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. We are a foster family, we have a lot of dogs come through our home. We deal with neuters a lot. This was the second dog we had taken to SNIP. We have had complications with both of our fosters stemming from the procedures this place preformed. This was worst experience for the dog EVER.... If you have a giant breed dog and love him, and value his life. DO NOT TAKE HIM HERE. They had to sedate him more than once and go back inside a second time to fix whatever mistake they made to begin with. A combination of which caused severe swelling. Softball sized. After the dog came home, he ended up with narcosis (the tissue around the incision died and turned black, causing an infection) caused by the trauma and swelling from the botched procedure. Which ended up falling open (a giant piece of black dead tissue, not just skin broke loose and was hanging from him and the blood clot that had formed fell out and he started bleeding profusely) because they do not stitch up any of the neuters. Yes that's right they send your dog home with an open wound to "allow it to drain" (which is common for most breeds but another BIG no no for larger and giant breeds) We had to take him to our family vet / animal hospital and hear a earful about how bad this clinic treated the procedure. Needles to say no dog should have to go through this type of issue or pain. Our Fosters will never go here again. I'm sure these are very capable vets. And This is the lowest cost in town. But you get what you pay for. This place does hundreds of these surgeries a week. So I'm sure the time and breed / type specific information was never taken into account. All they do is turn these animal in and out due to the low cost. I'm sure many never have a problem. But large and giant breeds have special consideration that need to be taken into account. This place didn't do that. To make it worse they didn't even own up to the mistake. They tried to pass it off as a bleeding disorder, or as if our dog had gotten a hold of rat poison. Neither of which were true and was confirmed through testing and blood work at our family vet. To sum it up I will never trust this place with any pet of mine again. If cost is an issue, then shop around there are comparable pricing at regular vets all around town. You and Your dog will be better off for it. The next giant breed dog may not be so lucky..

I will be taking a little stray beagle to be neutered this week despite the bad review here from "10. This seems to me to be a valid service and does save us money.I can't give a rating until I've been there ~done, but wil let you know. that We must be responsible to insure post op procedures that can be tricky to keep animals from licking the incision and to administer antibiotics. I would think that with this care she will be fine and I will be back to let you know! Naturally your local vet isn't going to support this service since it competes with them in hard times (poor vets; have you seen a lack of business there lately?)

this clinic was horrible. three days after we took our lab there we woke up to her oozing puss out of her incision. we took her to our local vet for the emergency and were told that we weren't the first ones that had this problem from the snip clinic. they said that they get lots of animals in that were spayed or neutered there that come in with bad infections. or in our dogs case and abscess in the incision. i would not recommend anyone that really cares for their pets to take them to this clinic.
