We love Dr. Keehner & Dr. Stello at SAH. We have taken our puppies here since 2008. We have a very stressful, sudden emergency with our bulldog. Dr. Keehner went above & beyond for us. Even met us at Blue Pearl Vet after hours to make sure our Maggie was taken care of before her surgery. Would highly recommend.

I had to put both of my dogs to sleep within 4 days of each other and the staff and Dr.Stello were so amazing and wonderful with everything. They even sent me flowers and cards for both dogs. Every worry I have they always listen to me and answer my questions without making me feel like an idiot. I will always go to Springhurst as long as Dr. Stello is on staff.

Horrible!! I took in a stray cat, so I took the cat to Springhurst where they told me the cat wasn't microchipped and that it was a girl. So I took the cat back for shots and a wellness exam where they again informed me that my cat was a girl and gave me a quote for declaw, spay, and microchip. I brought my cat back there the next day to get the surgeries and they called to inform me that my cat was a boy, who had previously been neutered. The horrible part was, they couldn't figure that out until AFTER they cut open my cat! The vet then told me that they other vet thought he was a she and this is the 2nd time in 14 years this has happened to her! This did not comfort me and if I was her, I would be too embarrassed to admit that this had previously happened. To make matters worse, when I went to pick up my kitty my bill was more expensive than previously quoted, and this was even after they deducted the "spaying" from my bill. They added charges that they never quoted or consulted me on and the things that they did quote a certain price for, they ended up charging me a higher price. Not to mention they lied about not giving my pet any pain medicine after surgery and that if I wanted him to have any meds then I would have to add another $30 to my bill. If not, then my cat would go without until I picked him up and gave him the medicine myself. Naturally, I didn't want my cat in pain for 2 days so I agreed to added charge only to find out that they were giving him medicine the whole time. When I picked up my cat, I obviously disputed my bill, but was told I could not speak with anyone about it until the next day and if I wanted to take my cat home... that I had to pay the bill. So first they lied to me, then they tried to spay my already neutered cat, and then they held my cat for ransom basically! My husband spoke with the owner who was completely non-apologetic and would only refund us a small portion of our money back. He obviously had no concern for what they put my cat through and did not value his customers. I would never recommend this place! Beware... you may take your pet in there a girl and it comes out a boy!

I had my dog spayed at Springhurst Animal Hospital and she was treated VERY well. The staff was helpful and kind, the employee that brought my dog to me was friendly and careful with my pet. The cost was in line with what they quoted me and I liked the facility, the fenced-in area for walking the animals, and the doctor/staff who assisted me. This facility came highly recommended by many of my friends and family, and my experience confirmed their competency.
