I LOVE barnes mill. We have 5 dogs and that is the only place we go because its so good. Every time you walk in they are so nice and so nice to the animals.

dr. taylor - best vet i've ever taken a pet to!

Dr. Taylor did 2 operations on our Golden Retriever. Not only is he very friendly and competent but also way less expensive than some other places. He takes sincere interest in animals and their well being. You can tell he enjoys every minute of his work. I went to his place many times from Lexington KY, even though I could pick handful of veterinary places much closer to home. But it is well worth it. I get smile and great service every time I get to Dr. Taylor's clinic.

i took my maltipoo to barnes mill animal hospital at 8;10am after waiting all night for them to open. she had been attacked by cuyotes in the night and was badly hurt and in much pain. when i showed up with my blood covered pooch in a box (to keep her legs stable) I waited about 10 minutes before leaving after being completly ignored. there were 2 other people there neither of them had pets in their arms or even with them at all, they seemed to be inquireing about standard pet concerns. the 2 ladies at the front desk did not so much as look at me, tell me they would be with me soon, or even acknowledge us. I left, and never to return. The Dr. may be great, i'll never know.

I was referred to Dr. Taylor and the group when my 11 y/o cat had a tumor in May 2008, he was honest with me about her cancer and performed a HUGE surgery on her. He worked w/me on the payments and everything-- and he took WONDERFUL care of her while she was trying to heal and she had numerous little surgeries-- sadly her cancer came back and we were unable to treat it the second time-- but Dr. Taylor was SO sweet and compassionate when I had to have her put to sleep... Recently my other older cat got sick-- and again, Dr. Taylor did everything he could to help-- he was patient with my decisions and after letting her stay there nearly 3 weeks to evaluate her and diagnose her-- we realized it was time to help her find some relief, so once again, he was there with me when I made the decision to let her go... I have NEVER dealt with a group that is as compassionate and loving as Dr. Taylor and his staff... they really get to know the animals and the humans and they truely care for them... I have one more cat in the house and she will go NO where but Barnes Mill~~ it's a 30 minute commute each way when we have to go to the Vet but it's worth it for the love and care they give!!!
