I love this vet. My family has been going here for over 25 years. They have an excellent team of vets and their staff is very caring. Their prices are very reasonable compared to other vet. offices in the city. I drive over 40 minutes to take my pets here and I would not go any place else. I have 6 dogs and we go to the vet often for routine treatments and my babies have always been treated with kindness and have been given excellent care!!!

Fantastic! I had an emergency with my puppy and they were very attentive and compassionate not only with my puppy but with me as well. I was a wreck and they could not have handled the situation any better. Then five days later after I had taken my puppy home, the vet called to make sure he was doing good and to remind me when I could bring him back in to get his stitches out. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I have 10 cats and 2 dogs. 5 of the cats were abandoned that we took in - I was able to afford to get them all spayed and neutered thanks to Dixie. I have been going there for 10 years and have never experienced anything like any of the bad reviews. I travel an hour because of the cost, availability of services and the care that my animals receive. I have been to several other vets to try them out because of the long commute. We always end up at Dixie because of the excellent care my animals receive - they make it affordable to care for your pets. The other vets don't.

DO NOT GO TO THIS VET! I wish I could give this place a score lower than Poor - Fair but unfortunately you cannot. I never used this vet personally but I re-homed a pet that it's previous owner used this vet. Why? I have no idea because they are the most rude and unprofessional establishment I have worked with in years. All I wanted was to have my new pet's records faxed to the vet we use in our home state which is not in Kentucky and after not only 2 phone calls from the cat's previous owner, but also 2 phone calls from me, and another 2 from my vet I still do not have my pet's records! When our vet called them the first time they told them that they had absolutely no record of the animal...of the animal that has been going there for over 3 years...okay. When I called, Jenna, said they have the records and that she would fax them to my vet right away...she didn't. When our vet called them again the lady who they think was named Jessica was completely rude and told them they didn't have the records, that they already released the records to the owner, that they were getting no information from them whatsoever about the animal. Which obviously I do not have the records nor does the previous owner or I wouldn't be writing this review right now. I don't understand what is so hard about faxing a patients records to a new vet when I called them the first time and they reassured me that the new vet could request the records and it would be no problem. All I want is for my new pet to get the proper care it needs at it's new vet and Dixie Animal Hospital is making that impossible.

I have been going there for 20+ years. We just recently had a girl who is greatly loved- and my husbands heart would shatter if anything happened to her- need surgery and most the vets wanted 500 DOWN and an open credit card to even see her. It was a Csection,spay and teeth pulled- and the whole bill was 700- with 6 live pups! I hadnt expected puppies as she had somuch trouble we just wanted her okay....so these people will help you and not gouge you. The same surgery was estimated starting at 800 at other places and that was just the csection!
