I am 45 years old and cannot remember a time when Helouin's was not our vet. Dr. Carl and Dr. Brent always recognize me when I bring one my dogs in and usually inquire about my mother. They are very thorough in their exams of my dogs. After hours calls are always returned promptly. I find more and more when I talk to people and the subject of our pets comes up and I mention Helouin's I usually get some story about the other person's animal that had been brought to countless other vets without much success in treatments, only for that person to say they eventually ended up at Helouin's who within minutes knew exactly what was wrong with their pet and they would now go nowhere else but to Helouin's now. Helouin's truly, truly cares about the health and wellbeing of your family pets.

Once I found Dr. Carl Helouin, I will not trust my pets with anyone else. Too often I feel like vets just want my money. That's not how they do things at Helouin's. I've been going there for years, including rescue dogs; the prices are very reasonable. They will treat pretty much any animal, including birds and small furry beasts. I have had a few emergencies over the years, and these guys always go above and beyond; I have never had to wait long for a call back from the vet on duty for emergency advice, even once Dr Carl has come to my home after hours to help with a dying senior dog. Helouin's truly cares about their patients and the people who love them. If only I could find a people doctor this good! Their only slight fault is that sometimes the receptionists are a bit scatterbrained or distracted, and can come off as rude. Don't let the ladies in the front dissuade you. You won't find a better vet in the greater Baton Rouge area. They also do grooming, nothing fancy, good rates for a bath and clip.
