Dr. Siegel and his team are extremely professional and compassionate. They take the time to answer questions and explain situations thoroughly. Dr. Siegel, himself, went above and beyond the usual when it was time for Attie to cross the Rainbow Bridge, and he cried right along with me. I HIGHLY recommend!
We have been taking our dog to Attleboro Vet for all of his 9 years. Attleboro Vet also took care of my previous pet as well. They doctors and staff have always been professional and take the time to explain everything regarding our pet to us. We had an incident where our dog decided that an SOS pad and chicken bones were a good thing to eat (He somehow got past the cabinet door into the garbage). We were concerned that he would have digestive issues and become very sick. We called the office and we were to bring him in immediately to see Dr. Siegel even though the office was about to close. We are grateful that Dr. Siegel was able to see our dog and take care of the problem immediately. If Dr. Siegel was unable to see him he definitely would have needed emergency surgery based on what he threw up. Dr. Siegel saved his life! My family is grateful to Dr. Siegel and the staff at Attleboro Vet. I would recommend his practice to anyone looking for a great doctor for their family pet!
I brought my 7 month old morkie into the Attleboro veterinary clinic today because he has had low blood sugar. I know this because I am a nurse and I was testing it at home. The dogs blood sugar was ranging from 65-78 for the first 2 days then upon checking last night it was 38. I gave him juice and made sure he ate consistently but I was concerned and I brought him in. They had the audacity to charge me $75 to check his blood sugar in the office. I had to stand in line to pay my bill for 10 minutes because the unqualified receptionist is unaware of the fact that you should take care of the customer in front of you before the phone call. When I finally got a chance to look at the bill I was handed I called them and complained about the cost of them charging me for something I had been doing at home. They spoke to Dr. Siegel who instructed them to call me and tell me that I did not have to return. Well Thank you for your permision Dr. Siegel, I will be sure to not only never return, but make sure my friends and family are well aware of the type of vet that you really are so that they don't return as well. Have a wonderful day.
Been going here for over a year now and have had nothing but terrific experiences. The staff is extremely helpful.
I went to one of the female vets at this location after reading wonderful reviews but my experience unfortunately did not live up to expectation. I brought my little princess in earlier this year with clear signs of Lyme disease: shifting lameness, lethargy, no appetite but the vet did nothing but prescribe pain medication and send us unknowingly on our way without a care in the world, without any tests, antibiotics, or so much as instructions/warnings for administering the anti-inflammatory prescribed. (I later read up on the medication and wikipedia says it should not be administered to dogs under 15lbs -- my toy poodle weighs well under 15 lbs. Look up "deracoxib".) Their prices might be more reasonable than other places but it's certainly not worth the pain and frustration of putting your beloved pet in the hands of people who are just trying to turn out as many patients as quickly as possible, as my experience proves. This visit ultimately cost me more time/money since the lyme disease did not get treated and had to make appointments elsewhere. To add insult to injury, the vet was insensitive and set on criticizing me unconstructively for my dog being overweight while she's in the process of losing the extra pounds. Not to mention the receptionist called my very sick pet 'old'. Typically, strangers aren't so rude and compliment her for being adorable and well-behaved. You would think veterinary experts should be consoling to frantic pet parents who come to them for help but this place has a bitter, disillusioned atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and don't settle for sub-standard treatment of your pets by going to any kind of place like this at the expense of your pets health. After the pain meds wore off and my poor baby stopped walking again I definitely did not follow-up with this place, I now bring my little one to excellent, caring professionals at Vet Acupuncture of Attleboro and Gansett Animal Hospital who take the time and go the extra mile to care for my pet and peace of mind. Most importantly, I'm just fortunate my little doggy is happy and healthy again.
