I would like to thank Dr Sandler for the 16 wonderful years I have received bringing my pets to her. I lost my babies on 10/2 and have to say I could not have gotten through the process of having to put them down @ 16 and 13 without the loving care and concern she showed during what was the hardest time of my life. In the 16 years I have been bringing my cats and dogs to her she has been a wonderful Dr to my kids (pets). I know Samantha and Bailey loved her because they loved going to the vets. I look forward to the next chapter and will definitely have Dr Sandler as my vet. Thank You to all of the staff at Bellingham Animal you all have been wonderful throughout the many years I have been bringing my babies (pets) there.
Unless is it a life or death situation, DO NOT take your animal to this clinic. I cannot believe its been 1 year, 11 months, 20 days since #A876779 (aka Dutch) came into my life.He was a dog on Death Row. He has endured horrors at the hands of Human Beings. When he came to us, his ears where chopped off with scissors and his nails where cut off at the toe. Basically, he has some issues, but he is a good dog. I took him to this vet because they are open late, even though my appt was at 8, we waited over an hour, all the while my dog was increasingly anxious. When we saw the Dr. she put my 100+ pound dog on the table, making him even more anxious than he already was. He needed to see the vet because of anal bleeding, when the vet saw he had what turned out to be an anal fissure, she questioned if she should PULL IT OFF !?!?!?!??!?! Really ? I was wondering if this Dr Was SOBER ?!? My dog in protest to being anally violated nipped at me and my husband, and understandably so....then the vet tech AND the vet herself HIT MY DOG. THEY HIT MY ANIMAL IN FRONT OF ME!!! If my husband hadn't of asked me to escort Dutch to the car, I would have had an assault charge. Previously I had taken my bulldog Basil to this vet because he was posturing to urinate, but not able to produce urine. He had stones, but when I took him in, he was not happy with whatever they were doing to him in the back, I heard him growl and yell. I heard a male tech scream at him and I can only assume hit him.
I have had animals for over thirty years, at Bellingham Animal Hospital I received the most caring, through care I could have dreamt for. We eventually moved back to city and I even considered bringing my pets 1.5 hour drive back to this vet. I can not say enough good things about the employees and vet care we received.
I will never take my pets here again, the staff was rude, the tech was very rough, almost abusive, with my dog, and they were way overpriced.
