I've been bringing my dogs here since 2000. Absolutely love the staff, their compassion, their knowledge, and their willingness to recommend to board cert'd specialist if needed. I always leave feeling like I have a good grasp of what is currently going on if we go in for a sick visit, and a clear understanding of the plan of treatment. Never have I felt pushed to run unnecessary tests, or spend money that didn't need to be spent. If they took BCBS, I'd go there myself. :)

I can honestly say that the staff is excellent. They are so caring and loving toward the animals that I feel like my cat is in excellent hands when she needs to go. If I need advice on anything animal related, they are always willing to spend some time helping me or offering their expertise. Excellent facility, and highly recommended.

The staff at Slade is caring and accommodating, and they are great in terms of helping out in emergencies.

Slade is a top notch veterinary hospital and I highly recommend them! I have seen each and every DVM that works there and they have all been wonderful with our dogs and cats, they really care about the condition of our pets, and take the TIME to talk over what's best for them! The Technicians are all very knowledgeable and very personable, and open to questions and concerns also. When I called to make my appointment, the receptionist was polite and cordial and accomodated our appointment to my schedule. It was very busy when I went for my appointment, and didn't mind one bit that they ran a few minutes late, they were WELL worth it. I now understand why they were so busy, and I won't be bringing my pets anywhere else! Also impressive is the HUGE range of services they can perform, from just rabies clinics to dentals, and surgeries and reproductive medicine. The parking can get a bit tight, the lot is small-but again, not worthy of giving less than a 5 star rating!!

Over 25 years and 8 dogs, including lots of rescue work, I've seen it all when it comes to vets. I'm now raising a Golden and seeing Dr. Gail Schmieder. I couldn't be happier and I'm picky. I drive over 20 miles and wouldn't have it any other way. Thrilled to have found this place!
