Doc is a great and compassionate vet. He listens to you and explains everything in detail. You leave understanding exactly what is wrong with your pet, and how to treat it.

This doctor has visit-fees that are close to half what most vets charge. I think $28 instead of the usual $45. But you get what you pay for. If you just need vaccinations or an updated prescription for heartworm meds for an otherwise healthy animal... this is the place to go. If you have a sick animal that needs help, I'd suggest either Dunloggin Animal Hospital down the street in Ellicott City or the Emergency Animal Clinic on Melior Ave in Catonsville. Dr. Blankenship at Catonsville Animal Hospital is very old fashioned and seems to depend highly on common sense and old folksy farm medicine. He doesn't stay up-to-date on new research in veternary science, med interactions, etc. He dismisses customer observations instead of using them in the diagnostic process. I was not impressed.
