I have been going to this practice for 5 years now and travel 30 miles each time. Dr. Brown is extremely dedicated and knowledgeable to treating and healing animals. His surgery skills and diagnostics are advanced and accurate. The staff has always been thorough and professional. Prices are very reasonable indeed.
This is the most compassionate (to both the pets and the owners!), helpful, thorough, and understanding veterinary staff I have EVER known. My corgi has never had such wonderful care, and even when she has needed expensive treatments, I am given MANY different options, some of which are very inexpensive and work wonders! Everything from state-of-the-art technology to natural, holistic herbal remedies and acupuncture, they have it all, and prices are reasonable! The staff is accommodating and helpful, and super-nice. I am always treated well as a customer, and I have never had to wait long at all. If a half hour goes by, I am shocked! My vet of choice there is Dr. Becky Fraser, who always has a smile for me and an eager petting hand and spoonful of peanut butter for Coblyn. I could not be happier with a veterinary service at all!!
In response to the cat owner with the 4-6 hour wait. In 30 years, I have never, ever had to wait more than 1 hour and rarely did that ever happen. You have to remember this is an animal hospital with compassionate vets. When you visit the emergency room to seek help for you or your family, you may have a wait as there may be patients before you that are more serious and need more care. This is no different. I realize waiting with a sick pet is hard but wouldn't you want to be sure that the vet you are about to see would be willing to become backlogged if he believed your pet to be in dire circumstances. I know I surely would appreciate that kind of care and have been given that kind of care on several occasions at Fullerton Animal Hospital. On those rare occasions when I have had to wait longer than I would expect, I remember those times when I was the one with the animal that needed the most help at the moment and am happy to wait my turn knowing I am the lucky one whose animal is not in such unfortunate circumstances.
Worst Vet ever... Took my cat that's about to die and make me wait 4 hours and make me pay all this money for them just to give him shots and don't try to help my cat. I will never go to this place again nor will recommend this place to anyone... You will spend a lot of money and wait for about 4 - 6 hours to get checked on... There were more than 5 people while I was waiting there that just walked out with sick pets that needed attention. I became one of them.
After moving to the area, I visited Fullerton with my senior dog on a coworkers recommendation. I am so glad I did. My senior pup was well on his way to Doggie Heaven- and the staff was INCREDIBLY kind and comforting. Every time they saw him- they 'oohh and ahh'd' like he was the first dog they had seen that day! It made us both feel very special and welcome. My pup was diagnosed with inoperable terminal cancer (spleen) and everyone made sure I had what I needed to be sure that my little boy was comfortable in his last days. What is already a painful experience for most pet owners was greatly lessened by the kindness shown to us at Fullerton Animal Hospital. My vet of choice is Dr. Meredith Brand. She is incredible. Knowledgable, compassionate, bright, and honest- I will follow her wherever she practices. Presently, I've got a 2 new pups, and they are scheduled for their annual exam in July with Dr. Brand- I'm certain it will be another stellar experience. In terms of facts/numbers- For an annual (CANINE) exam without any shots- you're looking at under 50 bucks! For an annual exam with standard vaccines (Rabies, Distemper, Bordatella)- I've never come in at more than 100 bucks. That's phenomenal! The staff is kind, attentive and knowledgeable. I rarely wait more than 30-40 mins (and this is only because they are so popular) with an appointment, and I can often get an appointment the same day. For those of us that work 9-5's, they've got late hours- and I've been able to get a 6pm appointment more than once. No more spending weekends visiting the vet! The facility is clean and spacious, the dog treats are generously handed out, and I NEVER feel rushed or hurried out of the door. They (vet/staff) answer all of my questions, give thoughtful answers, and cost-concious recommendations (they have sent me home to wait a day or two, after an evaluation- rather than rushing to do an xray- turns out it was unecessary, and this saved me 100+ dollars!) If you decide to make Fullerton Animal Hospital your vet- I assure you that you are definitely "Barking up the RIGHT tree!"
