This vet is horrible and so is the veterinarian: Dr. Slovon. The ladies who work at the table are always rude when we enter and the doctor always charges for everything so expensively. They do not care for animals at all. When meeting with my dog he TOSSES her around and even when he just cutting her nails, he wasn't paying attention and made 4 of her nails start bleeding. Also when my dog got spayed, we payed for the highest option because he ensured it would be the best option but my dog received horrible treatment.

Dr.S is horrific. He literally almost killed my dog. I have an Italian Greyhound who I took to this doctor for his vaccines. I was instructed by Dr.S to give him a baby aspirin, which he prescribed and provided should my puppy become fussy after the vaccination. Well, the dog got fussy and had developed a large lump on the back of his neck, and seemed very uncomfortable, so I gave my six pound dog the pill he suggested. Within several minutes, the dog became lethargic, could not stand up and was howling...I immediately tried to pick him up as I was concerned and the dog bit me. He was in such pain and I didn't know what to do! I rushed him to the dog ER and was told by THEIR vet that I had over medicated the dog. WHAT? But I did exactly what I was instructed to do. However when you think about it...why on earth would you ever give a six pound anything the same dosage an adult human consumes? When I confronted Dr.S about it, he insisted he's never had such a problem and would not refund any of the money I had paid for his frivolous "puppy package". (Total waste of money-and remember, I had to pay to correct the mistake HE made!) Do not put your pet's life in this man's hands. They may not make it out.

I adopted my kitten, now cat from Owings Mills Animal and Bird hospital late september of 2011. She was fine in the office, took her back to my apartment within a couple of days she was wheezing, had nasal discharge, and had trouble breathing. So I made an appointment and was seen right away. It seemed like Dr. S couldn't comprehend her symptoms or why she had them, but said her sister which was still unadopted had no signs of it. He decided to prescribe her respiratory medicine anyway (at no charge thank god, because we had her less than a week). It seemed the medicine worked for like a week and then her symptoms only got worse and still to this day. She developed excessive scratching and scabs, while still having the breathing problems. When we went back to get blood work done for her to get fixed, his price was outrageous and he charged for a test he didn't even ask me if i wanted. Needless to say he said our cat was fine and she clearly is not. I have not seen this doctor since his unauthorized blood work. Then this earlier year I got a voice mail from his office saying that if i miss my appointment i would be charged a cost. I called them right up and said I did not make this appointment, i want it canceled, and I will not be using their services. HORRIBLE PLACE and not even good prices. don't know why anyone would go there.

The vet takes such a dismissive and condensing tone, as though my every question is just silly and I am wasting his time. The "package prices" are a rip off and he doesn't take no for an answer. I have a pure bred Shiba that I want to breed, which I've made clear, yet he still tries to neuter him. Is it his ego or just the 300% mark up that motivates him to be overly persistent? Probably both.

Has always been fair and friendly with us. We have gotten 3 adoption kitties from them and they are great. They have taken care of the, neutering and routine visits & shots for several years. Appointments are easy to get for our crew of 5 cats and everyone there is pleasant and friendly. I would certainly recommend them to all of my friends and family.
