Dr.Molesworth is the best vet. He has helped my dogs and I have greyhounds. I live in potomac and I drive all the way there just to go to him. even in the snow. We never have to wait for a long time. I would recommend him to a ton of owners and new pet owners too.
The receptionists were cold and indifferent...unhelpful and rude. I would never return to this facility, nor would I recommend it to anyone (especially not a new pet owner) One star is overrated.
Both rude and disorganized. The vet themselves are alright, but the front desk staff is horrible! I called them to ask them how much it would cost to have Xrays done on my dog's knee. I specified it was going to be for a medial luxating patella and that he is 95 lbs, so it might require multiple shots and/or sedation. They quoted me one price, and when we got him there they doubled it and claimed I hadn't specified this size of dog or how many X-rays were needed, which was false. THEN I called them the day before my dog was to have surgery at another vet to ask them to send the X-rays over to the surgeon. They told me they would call me back, and didn't. They never faxed over the X-rays and never called me to tell me that they didn't. The following day while my dog was supposed to be in surgery I took my cat to Main Street due to a urinary tract infection. While I was there I followed up about the Xrays and only then discovered that they never sent them. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude and gave me attitude and said the technician that handles the Xrays was not in that day. I asked if these were simply JPEG files that were going to be emailed. The woman looked as if I was speaking Chinese. I said I guess I would have to go home and see if I could find the CD with the JPEG files (which it turned out was buried somewhere in storage) and she replied "Wait, YOU have the files?" as if how dare I ask them to email them when I have the files at home?! In the end I had to pay another $200 for new Xrays at the surgeon, so in the end Main Street cost me about $400. Oh, oh, and then the vet wrote me a prescription for my cat to be on antibiotic for a prescribed length of time, but they only gave me half the amount of antibiotic needed. The vet seemed nice but was obviously rushed, due, I'm sure, to the fact that they are renowned for overbooking appointments. When I got home and opened it I saw that it had already been opened and there was black mold around the top of the broken seal. I called them to tell them, and they apologetically said to just bring it back, that there must have been a "manufacturer error", and that they would just have to swap it out. Then when I did the girl at the front desk said "Did you refrigerate it?" And I said no, because it was already spoiled when I got it. Then she said it's a powder than they open and mix for us before giving it to the patients, so it was normal to be opened. And I said "Then don't you think the woman on the phone should have told me that instead of telling me it must be a manufacturer error?" And she said "What woman?" and I said "I don't know, one of the 15 front desk women you seem to perpetually rotate around here." She reluctantly, and with a great deal of attitude, gave me a new one -- which, mind you, was still only half the dose my cat's instructions said she required. I will NEVER go back here. If you ever have any really serious ailments and/or surgeries, I recommend going to NOVA pet Center in Chantilly, VA. It's a very long hike but I got consistently caring and expert service at a significantly lower price than other vets, so with the important stuff I will always take my pets there.
Dr Molesworth is just the best vet in the world to me....I've been with his practice since 1980. He really knows his animals.
