There are no words that could possibly express my love and gratitude to the West Arbor Animal Hospital staff for all they have done for my four legged friends and me! The compassion and care is beyond outstanding! Total peace of mind and heart that we receive the best care possible! God bless you and yours always!
I foster a cat from Mosaic Feline Refuge, and they work with Westarbor Animal Hospital, so that is how I came to visit them. My foster cat is 25 years old, so needless to say she has some issues. I worked with Dr. Katie Anderson and she was lovely. She was very informative and understanding of the issues of dealing with an older cat. We found a solution that would resolve some of Weezie's issues, yet not negatively impact her quality of life (such as daily fluid injections). I would highly recommend Dr. Anderson.
Excellent! Dr. Clarkson is a fabulous veterinarian. I was referred to him for dental care for my Maine Coon and I was so impressed I moved all three of my cats over to his practice. The staff is great, too; helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend Westarbor!
I have been taking my 4 (now down to 3) cats to Westarbor Animal Hospital for many years. We just adopted a German Shepherd named Coco, and she has been a welcomed addition to the Westarbor family. This office goes above and beyond what most local Vets offer their clients. We went through a long and devestating illness with our cat Maeda, she had PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease). The entire staff cared so deeply for all of our fur babies and when we lost Maeda, they stood behind us. Westarbor also hosts FREE events every month that are open to the public. We took Coco to a "Dog Tracking Class" and she had a BLAST! This is our Vet, and we consider them family!
VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. I was new to the Ann Arbor area, and had just gotten a puppy from a wonderful breeder in my hometown. When he was about 6 months old he had 2 retained baby teeth, and the vet I was going to referred me to Dr. Clarkston. When I spoke with Dr. Clarkston, he said it would cost a total of $650.00 to extract the baby teeth, and that he would need to catheterize and fully anesthetize (by IV) my puppy. He estimated that the procedure would take 4-6 hours. At that point I had a feeling that something was not right and decided to call the breeder we got our dog from to get some advice. She agreed, and told me to call the vet she uses back home. I ended up having to drive all the way over to the west side of the state to find a trustworthy vet. My breeder's vet extracted the 2 baby teeth in about 15 minutes, using only gas to briefly put our puppy to sleep, and charged a total of $40 for the procedure. I strongly feel that Westarbor Animal Hospital was hoping to over-treat my puppy so they could charge me an outrageous amount of money.
