Time was not only provided for my healthy feline buddy, Jasper, but for me as well. Life circumstances this year have been hardy, and the angst can pour out, & did. Dr. Shaffer was so kind to listen, and I realized I was appearing needy, but?? That is just it, she kept on appearing to be one on one with me, and this is what I totally appreciate, & want to make it clear that this is an example of total caring. As the first line of the Road Less Traveled starts, 'Life is Difficult', yes it is, but it was a little less difficult yesterday after I visited 2X2 and had our visit. Dr. Shaffer has been there for me and my cats over the course of many years when I've needed her most. She's seen me through 4 very difficult, very sad times when I've had to euthanize my best friends: one because of a brain tumor, one because of FLUTD, one because of kidney failure, and one because of hemangiosarcoma. She feels what I feel and cries with me. You couldn't ask for a more compassionate vet. She's well schooled (at Michigan State University). I experienced how incredible MSU's vet hospital is when I went there with the HSA, and that is where Dr. Shaffer (along with the other 2 female vets at 2x2) was schooled.

Dr. Shaffer has been wonderful to have as the vet for my cats. When one of my cats was having a problem, Dr. Shaffer discussed my options and gave me the info I needed on tests, diet options, etc. and with costs involved. I felt I was able to make informed decisions because of the time she took to explain things. I have been impressed by her knowledge and her caring personality. The staff have always been friendly and helpful when I call or visit.

We started going to 2x2 because our dog sitter highly recommended them. We have 2 dogs and 1 cat living. We had to put a dog down last year due to bone cancer. The doctors and staff were exceptional with helping us understand when it was time to say goodby to our beloved Ani (boxer mix). They are still wonderful with both my husband and me and the rest of our pet family. We would highly recommend them.
