Dr Stephanie is great with our dog. My Bichon Terrier has been going there since puppy shots. He is a tough breed, but appears to like Dr. Stephanie and the girls--they are gentle and patient with him. He loves the treats too. They always make sure I understand what I need to do for the best care for him. I can ask lots of questions, stop in to weigh him when I need to at any time, and I really feel like my Harley is part of their family. I knew right away this was a wonderful place when I saw all the thank-you notes from other "dog parents" on their walls. Facility is always clean and doen't have that "smell" like many other local Vet Hospitals. I highly recommend them! They aren't overpriced like many I hear about either. So glad our dog is in their care!
VERY UNCOOL how the staff responded to my needs. I told them that I had plans to board my dog in a kennel during a planned business trip of mine, and provided a list of the necessary vaccines. Byron Center Animal Hospital does not offer boarding, yet proceeded to tell me what was & was not important. When I arrived to check my pet in for his boarding reservation at a nearby facility, I was embarrassed to learn that my dog was NOT up to date, and that exposing him to this new environment puts him and all the other pets at risk. Luckily, I left the boarding place feeling like my dog was in better hands than his regular vet. The receptionist was very helpful in reviewing the record to see what needed to be done. I even got to meet one of the vets for peace-of-mind. The kennel worker showed me where my pooch would be staying; They took care of everything! Take it from me-- I learned the hard way. If you consider your pet family, then you owe it to your fur-baby to find a vet who actually LISTENS to you when you have concerns and respects your decision to have elective services done elsewhere. My experience was relative to basic pet care. I'd hate to see how they handle real emergencies. I've since switched vets. CASE CLOSED.
My 12 week old puppy Jovi came down with Parvo a week ago. My boyfriend I were devestated! He could barely walk and couldn't hold anything down. A friend recommended this animal hospital and I can't thank them enough. Our puppy was a completely different dog when we got him back only 48 HOURS LATER! The Vet there was so kind and explained everything that was happening to our puppy and everything she planned on doing to help him. She attacked this deadly virus so aggressively that I truly believe that is why our Jovi is still here today. Everytime we called to check on him she was completely honest with how he was doing and what she planned to do that day. I can't thank them enough. The entire staff was great! I would always recommend this place for your pets:)
