This is the best vet I've ever been to. Finally got some answers about his regurgitation and vomiting issues. Finally had an actual culture taken of the ear infection I've been fighting for 3 months. Finally got a veterinarian who could take the time to give me a demonstration with a model about how to properly clean out his ears, and how to avoid damaging his ears/bursting the ear drum. FINALLY got a veterinarian who would check his weight, do an overall wellness exam including checking his heartbeat, take a culture of the ear infection, and do a stool sample. Most importantly, I finally found a veterinarian who would give me straight answers and explanations about my dog's treatments and how to do what's best for his health, and my dog was completely comfortable in the exam room (surprise, surprise!). Dr. Kenneth Ahrens DVM treated my dog with dignity and compassion, and still I walked out for less than $100. I am more impressed with this veterinarian than I can express in words. I'm tired of my dog regurgitating his food on my carpet every day, and finally found a vet who took his time with us and helped me explore all the possible causes and options. As long as I remain in this area, I will be taking my dogs to this clinic!

They quoted me over the phone $198 for everything to neuter my Great Dane. His shots are all current and he even has the Bordetello. They asked me his weight and I told them 150-160 lbs. (Which he ended up only being 135 lbs) After they neutered him the bill came to $249.21. I was to say the least, very upset. I asked why the cost was $50 more than they had told me previously. They had no explanation! They refused to honor the price they quoted and now I am out of $50 that was supposed to go to my children's groceries this paycheck. My best recommnedation is do not use them. We were new to the area and needed the least expensive vet. These people are dishonest and not inexpensive!!!

I'm visiting Clio, and brought my dog in for a small bug bite that turned into a open wound from her scratching it for checking out. The Dr. took her into the back room he said just so he could get a better look. When he came back he stated that he cleaned the area and gave her a shot of antibiotic....WITHOUT discussing it with me first or getting an approval. He had no idea if she was on any other medications or had a penicllian allergy... because NO ONE ever asked!! I did not like the way they just treated her with out discussing it with me first. $60 for treating a bug bite in 15 min... disappointing!
