Since I got back into horses several years ago, WMVS has always done a fabulous job for me and my horses. From routine vaccinations to treating my mare with severe laminitis (and unfortunately euthanizing her as a result), Dr. Visser, Dr. Ira and Dr. Nelson are professional, extremely knowledgeable, and they truly care for their customers and their patients (Dr. Ira cried with us when he put my mare down). I also appreciate their devotion to continued education; there have been several times I've called to set up an appointment and have had to plan around one vet or another being gone at a conference. Probably my most memorable experience was when Dr. Nelson performed a venogram on my mare at my barn, and then had the digital x-ray system set up so we could immediately view the images (rather than having to bring them back to the office to develop). This type of portable technology is crucial to running a successful veterinary practice (especially when time is of the essence for a live patient), and its great to see WMVS investing in their business. I'd highly recommend WMVS to anyone looking for a equine vet practice. I haven't had any experience with the small animal side of things, but I'm sure the traits that the folks on the equine side have are shared throughout the practice. Sue, Christy, Dr. Myers (did a DMSO injection on my mare when the three equine vets were tied up), Dr. Schelling (watched him treat my friend's horse for choke), Dr's Visser, Ira and Nelson, and all of the other people I've worked with over the years have been great. Everyone is always very friendly, happy, and energetic. They are always very helpful and have told me what to do over the phone so I would not have to make a sick dog visit for a bee sting. My dogs never fight me going in because they love getting treats and their prices are lower than most. I will not go anywhere else.

I take my dog here regularly. The staff is always cheerful and willing to assist. They obviously love animals. Even my dog likes going to the vet. Prices are reasonable.
